One Loud Table

One Loud Table

From the creator of Pepper Knuckles and Music Blocks comes this wild and crazy table for your music collection. It’s called “Amusity” and it’s rather full of music and amusement, if I do say so myself. The designer Idan Arbel says that this is a tangible user interface coffee table for your entire music library. Toss it all on there and let the circus begin.

Colonel Kebabs Anyone?

Colonel Kebabs Anyone?

One of my fav hangouts cooks the kebabs straight on the table. It’s got a live charcoal grill embedded into the center of the table and skewers of semi-cooked veggies and meats slowly grill over the embers. An enjoyable experience, it can be replicated at home with the Danté Table Top Cooking Platter. Altho Idan doesn’t specifically mention it, I assume he intends to heat/cook the bite-sized portions over a charcoal grill (or similar), enclosed within the ceramic base.

Knockin' Around the Block Party!

Knockin’ Around the Block Party!

Check these blocks out. They play music. One block, the base block, is the control block. This is the block that plays the music and responds to controls. The controls – they are the other blocks. Each block, depending on weight, adds volume to the music. To switch to a new track, turn a stacked block. Beware of using these blocks in high-traffic areas – birds, cats, and girlfriends, because if the blocks are knocked: no more music!
