Beer gut Saver

Beer gut Saver

I just love ideas that come from outside “influences”, like “oh man, I may be totally blitz right now but we should totally head to Vegas tonight!” or “If I had money, I would totally open my own bar…but a cool bar, with every kind of beer from around the world…and every kind of nachos from around the world too…” Well dear friends, thank god most of us usually pass out before such genius ideas ever come to fruition.

Wine of the Times

Wine of the Times

I had a few too many glasses of Pinot Gris just the other evening and I swear to Bartles & Jaymes that I envisioned a wine bar that looked similar to this new interior design for “Bella Italia Weine” shop and restaurant located in Stuttgart, Germany, home of Mercedes-Benz and Porsche.

A Radio, Calliper Style

A Radio, Calliper Style

Like a precision calliper tool, 08 Radio by Mikael Silvanto lets you precisely find the station you want by sliding the entire radio unit up and down the scale. It’s a minor improvement and may irk some who prefer a dial but functions aside, it is nice to look at just as a stand-alone piece.

A Little Bit of This, A Little Bit of That

A Little Bit of This, A Little Bit of That

Not too long ago while shopping for a credenza, I was torn between wood and metal. I wanted the luxury of wood but the performance of metal made much more sense. Designer Daniel Enoksson has created furniture with both personalities called Pieces. Made from pine, MDF, and steel, these stools and benches play up the contrast between all the materials while maintaining their core functionality. I must have the biggest one for my studio.

Robotic Fish Feeder, Because I’m Too Lazy

If you’ve got a big pond or lake with fish just swimmingly enjoying life, you may ask yourself why you have to be the one doing all the work. Fish have it made! They just swim and eat. The FIFER robot makes feeding one less item you need to worry about on your day to day tasks.

Icebear, Waste Not Want Not

Icebear, Waste Not Want Not

Originally commissioned for Valgeir Sigurðsson Greenhouse in Iceland, Icebear is a limited edition fur made from pelt scraps in 10 shades on arctic white. Really? There are that many shades of white? In addition there are also special variations in black, brown and albino (which I thought was white).

Carga Bags Review

One of the most commonly asked questions I get are, “what’s a good bag?” That’s a loaded question. I answer, “it depends what you need it for.” As for me, I was on a quest to find a bag that was both stylish and functional. Carga Bags here I come.

Light My Fire

Light My Fire

Two persistent devices in an emergency system are lights and water, but why do they have to be separate components? Duck Image Studio went about to create a unified ceiling sprinkler system incorporating a bright LED light. The light beam, which also comes from the nozzles, illuminates the scene making work easier for rescuers.

What Time Is It Really?

What Time Is It Really?

Time actually moves on a scale millions of time smaller than most of us perceive. At the atomic level, time changes so rapidly we wouldn’t even notice it if it punched us in the face. The Digital Time concept by Freddie Yauner displays time right down to a millionth of a second. So if you’re the obsession compulsive type who needs to know the exact time – now you’ve got it.
