The Color Guard mosquito bed net is the first bed net that has a double-layered sheath preventing mosquitos from biting through the net. Also, each net is dyed a custom color by its owner with a colored insecticide that impregnates the fibers. It’s safe to humans and non toxic to all animals except those pesky insects.

The Teacher’s Pet desk is designed to replace the desks you’ll find in most schools around the world – molded plywoods with aluminum supports. The problem is once those desks get vandalized or damaged, there’s no way to fix them without replacing the whole desk which is too costly. The Teacher’s Pet desk is made of components that can be individually ordered, repaired, replaced, and upgraded.

Katherine Gray designed this piece as the ideal wedding present, comprising everything a couple would need to see them through their married life. As well as being a light this ingenious design provides wine goblets, plates, bowls, a urinal, a dildo… and at the end of life the jars can be used as funerary urns! All the glass objects are hand made and hand finished and the steel fittings are machined to fit.

When did bamboo get so popular? It seems everyone has a lucky bamboo plant now. The Bamboo Light System is shaped like the fast growing grass but inserts a bit of utility too. The entire system is comprised of interlocking segments you can customize, kinda like a giant erector set. Build floor lamps, ceiling lamps, pendents, and sconces.

When I think of those grand libraries around the world, they all have one thing in common – books so high up you need ladders to get to them. The Ladder Shelf plays on that by bringing a little whimsicality to any bookshelf.

Luis Eslava has revisited the functions of both bulb and lampshade, merging the two elements together into this new design. In Bulb Shade Luis has used the bulb literally as the shade. Made of Pyrex and sandblasted the bulbshade protects and controls the light element introducing a minimal but flexible product – you can hang them or stand them on surface.

It seems the next trend in automotive interior design are big knobs. With BMW already promoting their iDrive system and Audi bragging one of their own, soon all cars may have one giant knob that seem to control everything.

Who says all lampshades have to be made from paper or fabric? Part of modern design is to repurpose other materials that may not traditionally fit the mold. Such is the case with Lumique, a crystal lampshade that reflects enough light because of its fantastic refractions.
