Back to Basics

Finally, a counter-worthy kitchen scale! The unique design is as simple as it is elegant, and utilizes the flexibility of its curved metal support to accurately display weights up to 250 grams, all without the need for electricity or batteries! Way better looking than those mini digital scales!

Forget iPhone 5, It’s Time For iPhone 6!

Forget iPhone 5, It’s Time For iPhone 6!

If you are still dealing with conceptual iPhone 5 phones, then I reckon you are late in the game. The stakes have moved up to the iPhone 6, a concept where the home button is moved to the left side of the phone (used with the thumb), leaving a huge screen space for one to enjoy. In this mockup, Antoine uses ergonomic grip quite cleverly and formulates it with dimensions 125 mm x 63 mm with a 4.9-inch screen. For a first round of concepts, it looks interesting enough, what do you think?

Open The Damn Door

Open The Damn Door

Ok so you have too many drinks, its dark and the door won’t open. Obviously you need to insert the key, but the point is, sober or drunk, many of us do end up struggling with the key and keyhole. Concave Lock follows an annulus pattern with a fluorescent ring that glows in the dark. Because of the concave surface of the lock, the design allows you to slide the key into the keyhole on the first try! Superb!

Finger Friendly Cutting Board

Finger Friendly Cutting Board

Pego is an all-in-one solution that’s here to replace the cutting board. The design consists of a cutting surface, secured knife and pegs that are used to hold food in place while the user chops, dices and minces- keeping fingers out of harms way. It’s particularly useful for kids learning to cook!

World of Worms

World of Worms

Like many kids (and much to my parents dismay), I was mesmerized by worms! The Miniville compost system capitalizes on this obsession, teaching kids the importance of worms and composting through an interactive, modular “city” structure that gives little ones a first-hand look into the process so they can… well… see how worms work!

Wall Saver

Wall Saver

A floating bookshelf can be a great storage solution and minimal accent to any wall, but not every wall is prepared to hold the supports that the shelf rests on. This design, called OPEN, is a shelving system that achieves the same floating aesthetic without the need for wall mounts. The shelving boards dangle on super-thin but strong fishing line that mounts to the ceiling. Better yet, the shelves can be adjusted without having to remove and replace hardware.

Brutalist Watch

Brutalist Watch

Dzmitry Samal’s limited edition concrete watches are a beautiful expression of mass that you can wear on your wrist. The 8 different designs are characterized by striking repetitive angular geometries that create a rough, blocky appearance with a focus on balance rather than preconceived symmetry. The concrete housings project totalitarianism but the wild faces scream unrestrained expression!

Anywhere Mouse

Anywhere Mouse

I love the finesse that the Arc Mouse promises to bring to my computer usage experience. I hate those miniscule mini-mouse that you are supposed use with laptops. Given that I use Photoshop and many other software at one go, track pad navigation is a big no-no for me. The grip of the small mouse is cumbersome and when you are commuting you really can’t use them. So in steps the Arc Mouse, one that you can use on any surface, including your jean-clad thigh!

The Staged Is Set For This Lamp

The Staged Is Set For This Lamp

The Stage is a lamp inspired by the acrobats who grace the circus. Their antics atop of the trapeze and their skillful executions go on to bear a striking resemblance in the way you interact with the lamp. Kisun has recorded an enigmatic video here, which compliments the sentiments of an aerial dance that the artists portray. Have a look…

Floss Trainer

Floss Trainer

People’s inconsistency in flossing has less to do with not liking the process and more to do with issues of memory and habit development. With this in mind, the Oral Care Habit Development Device was designed into the toothbrush holder as a convenient way to measure and cut floss directly from the holder. The device also includes a timer that gives the user a visual signal and audible beep and can even be controlled with a smartphone app!
