This Stool Rocks

This Stool Rocks

I’m loving the latest design from Snapp: the Orbit stool. The captivating design taps into our natural tendency to move and shift. Taking inspiration from the spinning top, it features a slightly pointed cork base so you can rotate on its spinning axis and wiggle all you want. For light reading, the tapered drum cushion also has a slim cavity on the side for storing magazines or books. Do want!

Way Sexier than a Hearing Aid

Way Sexier than a Hearing Aid

In an extraordinary fusing of textiles and robotics, the Flutter functional garment was design to aid individuals with hearing impairments “feel” the sounds of the world around them. Within the cotton and polyester dress lies an inner framework of microphones and vibrating leaflets that detect the direction of sound. Leaflets nearest the sound are triggered to flutter in that direction, giving the wearer an alternative sensory awareness of their surroundings.

Twist on Turkish Cookware

Twist on Turkish Cookware

The Beatoven is a modern interpretation of the traditional Turkish drum furnace that differs from other heavy, bulky and hard-to-use versions. Space is saved with its unique construction where the heating units are placed on both the top and bottom and the electrical cable can be stored within the oven when not in use. A touch-sensitive interface, customizable user profiles, and preset temperature/cook-time options make it much easier to use.

Jump From Paper Bags Are For Real

Jump From Paper Bags Are For Real

Yes they’re for real. How do I know? I’ve seen them in person. Jump From Paper bags just released several new products and STILL I have a hard time believe they exist. I mean that in the tangible sense because every photo looks like a doctored up shot. That’s part of the charm. It’s like your touching a cartoon every time you reach for your bag. In fact, wouldn’t be cool if have the world were a cartoon we could interact with? Cool World much?

Two Beautiful Products From 11+

Two Beautiful Products From 11+

I often go into one of those modes when I do nothing but look for the hottest products around the world. Literally weeks on end of just surfing the net, contacting studios and manufacturers. I came across a new Korean studio called 11+ who are about to launch two products – a case for the MacBook Air or any tablet sized device and a case for the Samsung Galaxy S III. Hit the jump.

Modern Material Among Ancient Beauty

Modern Material Among Ancient Beauty

24° Studio’s latest installation, Daphne, is situated within the tunneled stairway that interplays with the notion of concealing and revealing the ancient interior surfaces of the tunnel leading to the peak of the hilltop village Pyrgos in Santorini, Greece. The structure is made entirely of self-supporting paper panels and string LEDs that create an enclosure that plays with visitors’ perception as they witness the material merging of past, present and future.

The Snake Shower

The Snake Shower

The Aqueous is quite an innovative design that exudes a fluid form while retaining functionality. It features a unique malleable disk that allows you to control the flow of water; pushing down regulates pressure, pushing right brings hot water, and left brings cold. As the designer explains, “Aqueous’ singular shape creates a memorable silhouette.”

Custom Embroidered Cases

Custom Embroidered Cases

Even though there are tons of phone case options out there, it’s hard to find one that’s original, let alone personalized. The DIY Stifin case makes it possible to create unique designs all your own by cross-stitching it directly onto the case (there’s also pattern guides for the stitch impaired!). After you’ve stitched your case, cross-stitch the earphone ornament to add a little cuteness to your phone and protect your earphone jack at the same time. It’s a fun way to make a case that’s so “you!”

Sticky Steamroller

Sticky Steamroller

If you guessed that this is the latest in heavy construction machinery, congratulations, you’re… WRONG! It’s not a steamroller at all! The latest from OTOTO, this deceiving design is actually a handy tape dispenser that will add a little character to your desktop. It makes tearing tape strips a cinch and, if you’re like me and constantly misplace your spare tape, the rear wheel opens to store extra rolls.

Rider and Bike Become One

Rider and Bike Become One

This cutting edge sports bike isn’t just HOT AS HELL aesthetically, it also uses cutting edge materials and technology to enhance safety and power. Hybrid technologies include specialized film and paint to harness solar energy and a kinetic energy recovery system as a secondary source of power. Coolest of all is a genius system of high-precision optic lenses and sensors that wirelessly connect to the rider’s HUD helmet to display everything from speed to object distance so the rider never has to look down.

The Evolution of Headphones

The Evolution of Headphones

VOLVE Headphones merge innovative operation, minimalistic character & high-end technology to blur the boundaries between music and mind. Sure, they’re sleek and stylish, but what sets them apart is the transfer of play/volume functionality directly to the headphone from the MP3 player or other Samsung device. Volume can be adjusted by simply turning a rubber disc situated on the ear cups & play or pause is activated by a single push on the centerpiece, making them as intuitive to use as they are beautiful to look at.
