Vincent Montreuil’s latest project, I Love Bikes at Amsterdam, is an incredibly thorough and equally imaginative proposal for transformation from Amsterdam’s current car and rail network into an ecological, economical system of personalized “pods” that better coexist with the city’s many bicycles and further enhance the quality of life in the city center. Time Gets More Linear

Time Gets More Linear

The Lineær (sic) clock is like any standard wall clock except behind the minimalist facade is bevy of parts filled with symbolism. The time is written on a a rotating scroll. That represents that time is in perpetuity. The fixed hand symbolizes the present. There’s nothing fancy about it. No illumination or digital displays. It’s as quiet as time itself. Of course, if you’re one to find all this a bit too simplistic. Take heart in the fact that the face plates can be made in any/many colors.

Eco Friendly Buoy

Eco Friendly Buoy

Triton is a self-sustaining buoy that can be rapidly deployed in marina entries and ports for temporary and permanent navigation guidance. The system is eco-friendly using only wind and solar energy. Big hat tip for the design. Huge improvement over current buoys. Who knew they needed to be redesigned? Oh and by the way, it holds the Design Turkey Award. Mmmm hmmm.

All That Noise and More

All That Noise and More

Green Noise Bluetooth Headset is a step in the right direction, although I think it can do with some refinements. For a first draft in the idea of having headsets that soak in the high decibels and convert them to usable energy, it is a fantastic take. Imagine cancelling all the screaming fans in a football stadium and at the same time harnessing their energy! Sounds excellent!

iPUP

iPUP

I will be a happy man the day that we can not only rid ourselves of coins and cash, but shed our plastic cards as well and rely completely on our mobile devices! Le sigh… Until then I will still have to keep using a clever case like the iPUP here. It’s gotta be the cutest one I’ve ever seen and unlike other cases it won’t damage your card’s security strip. Carry your ID, credit cards or transportation cards conveniently, safely, and in a unique puppy-fied style!

Kin-aesthetic Car

Kin-aesthetic Car

Sangwoo Lee’s VW Optism concept finds inspiration from optical art, a style that makes visual kinetics through optical illusion. Depending on the viewers perspective, the surface changes character making the facade an interactive sculpture of sorts. The directional lines can be found everywhere from the wheels to the seats as it continues the flow of movement to the interior.

Lets face it, people do fuss over their tea and it’s only fair to aid them with appliances that allow them to follow their ‘perfect cuppa’ obsession to the core. For example the TEA Thermos; its is a flask that masters steeping by combining a timer and spool!

It’s compatible in the sense that both the sliver generation and the young-guns can use it easily.
