Sustainable Hanger Bag

Sustainable Hanger Bag

I love this simple and innovative solution to a sustainable carry bag. The H+Bag has a functional edge and combines a carry bag with a hanger. Most often stores give us beautiful, sustainable paper bags to carry our clothes back home. Now if we add a twist to the bag and fashion it as a hanger, wouldn’t that be a great eco-idea! Say, hello to the H+Bag!

Entering the Genre of Pocket Tablets

Entering the Genre of Pocket Tablets

While most of us are still discovering the value of tablets versus laptops, the next-gen is already thinking about blurring the lines between smartphones and tablets. What we have here is the Pocket Tablet Concept, which is a happy marriage between a smartphone and, you guessed it, a tablet. The device combines emerging technology like the flexible OLED screen that folds out to give it the tablet edge. And of course the pocket size is the other advantage that can be harped upon.

No Ordinary Flashlight

No Ordinary Flashlight

We’ve had a couple quakes here recently and they only serve as a reminder of how unprepared I am for the BIG ONE. A Kickstarter project called the TRIOH! caught my interest when I went looking for a flashlight that could sit out in the open and not look fugly. Nice design? Check. Functions as a flashlight? Check. Works as a lamp and emergency light? Check & check! Designer Greg Hinzmann is several thousand shy of hitting his goal so I’m gonna plug it here because I WANT THIS. $49 bucks so I can have piece of mind and you get a TRIOH!

Not-So-Dumb Dumbells

Not-So-Dumb Dumbells

The original idea for the Quick Click weights came from the designer’s wife noticing that in her weight training classes, other women were struggling with the old-school way of changing weights with clamps and springs which interrupted the flow of the workout. This redesign maximizes the effectiveness of the workout, making it possible to quickly transition between weights by simply using the built in hand grips to drop and add weight.

Go Nutty for this Lamp

Go Nutty for this Lamp

The Acorn by Vasiliy Butenko transforms an ordinary cotton rope into an attractive, simple and inexpensive pendant lamp. The construction process is quick and easy an only requires the rope, a bottle and a bonding agent. The rope is wound around the bottle creating layers that don’t require an internal frame. Bright LEDs provide concentrated light that won’t burn the cotton. In a number of dark colors, it’s both soft and masculine.

Rethinking the Chopper Control

Rethinking the Chopper Control

Anyone else notice that RC helicopters use the same remote control as their land-confined counterparts? The Chorus controller is a new solution, designed specifically for the chopper. It features a hidden trigger under the body and a more comfortable, intuitive disc shape that pivots and angles to mimic the movement of the helicopter blades. It provides a somewhat more realistic experience that’s great for novice and expert flyers alike.

Maternity Clothes With A Difference

Maternity Clothes With A Difference

We are not speaking about the fashion angle here, but the possibility of wearing the same set of clothes pre, during and post pregnancy! Sounds magical but designer Rita seems to be onto something big, Dior – I hope you are listening, apparently she chose two different materials, one in ivory color, which had resistance fibers when washed in high temperature. And the other was a black material, which had shrinking fibers when washed in high temperature. Combining the two in the belly area in a knitted fashion, resulted in this amazing top!

Levitated Mass

Levitated Mass

The Levity chaise-lounge is composed of 12mm thick birch plywood and 12mm thick birch rods that together create abstract geometries that suggest levitation of a reclined person. The slender structure looks as if it might not support the weight of an individual, but the simple construction is lightweight and surprisingly sturdy with 20 supporting legs held firmly in place.

Chair Full of Treasure!

Chair Full of Treasure!

Inspired by global economic crisis, the Anti Crise chair merges the notion of saving piggy-bank-style with a modern chair design that you can break open when you’re broke! Like a piggy-bank, simply fill the hollow chair with coins using the slot at the top of the back. When the time is right, remove the saw embedded in the back of the chair and saw away! After collecting the reward, the hollow space that’s left can be use to hold magazines or other items.

Memory Compartments

Memory Compartments

It’s not very clear if the Uniting U disk can compartmentalize your files as per sharing and non-sharing files, but what it can do is increase the storage. In the era where we talk about terabytes, small USBs with GB storage may seem misplaced. However when it comes to the majority population, then simple GBs suffice. So for their sake and the sake of expansion without fuss, the Uniting is the way to go.
