Snowboard wrist armor delight

Snowboard wrist armor delight

Designer Navik Lal presents a fabulous new look at the protection of the wrists of the hardcore snowboarder. This is Morph Armour, made to create a protective barrier around your wrist while you retain near-full mobility throughout your arms so you can continue to be the sports beast you know you can be. This solution takes on what Lal notes is one of the most common mishaps in the snowboarding world, making the 88% of the snowboarding population think twice about how much of a hinderance safety has to be.

Twist On The Task Light

Twist On The Task Light

Love me some good task lighting y’all. The trends may be LED’s but few do anything about the harsh lights those little diodes put out. The Leva task lamp by architect Massimo los Ghini uses an unconventional diffuser mape of opal white poly. The light is softly distributed but you still get a sense of those diodes as glowing orbs. The lamp structure itself is finished in gorgeous beech wood with steel components. Combine all that with an articulating arm and you’ve got one sexy ass task lamp.

Repurposed Cardboard in Posh Chair Shapes

Repurposed Cardboard in Posh Chair Shapes

It’s time for some awesome application of repurposed cardboard, folks, here in a set of furniture by the name of Re-Ply. This project works with what designer Dan Goldstein assures is rather unique in both form and method, using broken-down boxes that would otherwise be tossed in a garbage heap, here using them for undeniably strong – and trendy, too.

Hand-made wooden lamp gets LED finesse

Hand-made wooden lamp gets LED finesse

The design you’re about to look at goes by none other than the name “BOB”, and has one intention: to make you forget about how lovely it is with its simple “it just works” design sensibilities. This device works with LED bulbs, connects with one small black cord, and is made almost entirely of hand-made elements.

For The Love Of Bamboo

For The Love Of Bamboo

Talk about a classy bamboo wicker casing for your ceramic speakers! The Bambory Speakers look haute and exude a creative marriage between craft and technology. Love it for its simplicity and demure looks. Tech-specks are sparse so I wouldn’t like to make any assumptions; nevertheless, this one’s for the sake of design!

Foreign Coins Get A Good Purpose

Foreign Coins Get A Good Purpose

My recent travels took me to Milan, Singapore and Dubai and I totally get how annoying loose change can be. They are a big amount if I convert them to the Indian Rupee but petty to spend otherwise, and no money exchanger will convert it for me. The Add Up is a concept that addresses this desperate scenario that most foreign travelers are faced with. The exchange box takes in your foreign coins and converts the amount to your domestic currency. This amount can be then transferred to your phone account as a credit or added as Skype points.

Paws Stay Warm While Smartphoning

Paws Stay Warm While Smartphoning

True, the downside to touchscreen phones are inclement weather patterns causing havoc on your hands but at least your mitts can stay stylishly warm thanks to Mujjo Touchscreen Gloves. No, they’re not the only smartphone friendly gloves on the market but they come by way of the Dutchies and those people live in pretty cold conditions, not to mention being neighbors to the coldest of the cold – Scandinavians, so I believe them when they say they’ve perfected it.

Rocking Chair For Technophiles

Rocking Chair For Technophiles

Picture it, Richardson Texas, a semi-detached town home made of bricks and columns surrounded by majestic magnolia trees. It’s a mild 75ºF and I’m outside on the veranda suckin’ on jujubes. Betwixt yelling at the neighborhood kids for being too loud and at my dog for digging in the yard, I thumb thru the latest news on my iPad rocking gently to the music of Janet Jackson. My hands tire of holding the iPad, so I place it up on a dock connected to my iRock. Yes, it’s pure genius. A rocking chair for a generation of technophiles.

Different Kinda Aerial Tour

Different Kinda Aerial Tour

Love the idea of a bird’s eye view of a city and maybe this is why we have the Burj Khalifa and London Eye. To inspire creative people and get them to take in a different perspective of Prague, we have here the 0 Gravity Tour concept vehicle. Literally giving you wings to fly around town and take in the sights, the flying machine gives you an aerial view of the city. Interesting and inspiring, maybe we should all have a lofty look at life.

For Crafty Glues

For Crafty Glues

AN-GLUE may come across as a frivolous solution to the glue stick design. But when you are the person who is sealing envelopes or gluing stuff; then you’re gonna be real happy that you have this angled design in hand. For the record, it can be difficult to see the paper when we are applying glue to it, because the gluing hand blocks our line of sight. The angled tip makes it easier to see the gluing path and is easier to use.

Chain, Chain, Chain... Chain of Stools!

Chain, Chain, Chain… Chain of Stools!

The inspiration behind the TOOJO stool series is from the semi-nomadic Maasai people of Kenya and Tanzania; specifically, their distinctive jewelry. Like the intricate beadwork of the jewelry, the stool is highly flexible, light and able to connect to other stools to create a “chain” of stools. The design allows for modular, custom seating arrangements linked by small surfaces for resting items like beverages. Perfect for pow wows!
