Simple Made Better

Simple Made Better

If this chair looks familiar, it’s because it’s seemingly similar to the iconic Eames DCM chair that’s been a staple since 1946. Called the NoCo2 chair, it too will cradle you in a comfortable position, and also uses rubber shock mounts to buffer movement. Instead of new rubber, however, it repurposes old scrap tires to cushion both the back and seat. Unlike the Eames, extra tensioned padding is given to the seat for a “floating” effect, more comfort, and a cool modern aesthetic!

The virtual keyboard has arrived.

The virtual keyboard has arrived.

What’s better than an ultra-thin, compact, wireless keyboard?? One that doesn’t actually exist at all!! The Lumiquitous mouse system rids your desktop of the cumbersome keyboard, replacing it with a virtual keyboard projected directly on the desk surface. The two mice (one for each side) have a triple motion sensor, beam projector, and optical sensor that detect the movement of the hands and fingers. Because the keyboard moves with the mouse, there’s no more repetitive switching your hand from mouse to keyboard!

Exact Rice Serving

Exact Rice Serving

I am a pretty accomplished cook when it comes to dishing out exotic cuisines; however the basics like cooking rice and bread still intimidate me. I suppose this set of designers had me in mind while conceptualizing the Rice Pack! More than being a simple package for rice; it is also a guide to the ideal amount of water required to cook the rice in a rice cooker. The package contains enough rice for either one or two serves.

Blurring Time

Blurring Time

When standing in front of the MOCAP wall-clock, its numbers are clear and visible, but walk around it and you’ll notice that they slowly dissolve, falling apart in a vague white fuzz. Inspired by the movie industries motion capture technology, this striking optical illusion is created by small, white balls that extend various distances from the matte black surface on pegs of the same color and appear to float effortlessly in the air. Own it here!

Chromed-out Lighting

Chromed-out Lighting

In daylight, the MEOLA lamp series serves as a sculptural object, reflecting natural light and movement on its silvery surface. At night, however, it comes alive as a vibrant luminaire and spatial focal point, dispersing a delicately diffused light from within the chrome coated surface. No doubt about it, they have a weird, quirky aesthetic… perfect for the ultramodern interior.

Mesmerizing Marble

Mesmerizing Marble

The ONDA marble bench is born from the desire to minimize material waste by using modular sections that aren’t instantly recognizable as similar. Cut from the same block, each “wave” is just alike with the same dimensions. Reversing the pattern with every other one being turned the opposite direction creates a visual illusion of woven complexity when it’s rather simple!

Quick fix to an Apple goof!

Quick fix to an Apple goof!

I thought it was just me and my tiny ears, but apparently Apple’s Earpods are a tough fit for lots of us! Instead of replacing the buds, just snap on a pair of Sprng clips to make em’ stay put. The ergonomic design stabilizes the Earpods with a soft elastomer tip that snaps into the concha of the ear and won’t interfere with glasses or hats. You can even slide the pods up and down for a custom fit. Ordering mine now! Get yours here!

The Teapot Redefined

The Teapot Redefined

It’s not at all what you imagine a teapot looking like, and that’s exactly what’s so cool about the Quattro! The vertical, rectangular design makes pouring and transporting a cinch thanks to its beautifully simple, yet highly functional handle that also acts as a base. Just tip it to poor, or reverse the base to the upwards position to carry it around!

Spacecraft Carrier

Spacecraft Carrier

The MKS-1 SLS concept was designed primarily as a launch-support for space rockets & suborbital vehicles, helping them reach their destination by first carrying them closer to the edge of our atmosphere. Adaptable guide-rails above the fuselage are configurable to a variety of different payloads, including pods for space tourism. Together, 11 next-gen engines, 8 ultra high-bypass turbofan engines, & 3 engines with adaptive versatile engine technology ensure precious cargo safely arrives at an altitude of 50k feet before 2nd launch.

Wheels Of The Bus

Wheels Of The Bus

Ok slight deviation, this time it’s the wheels of a cycle and the value proposition is of course technical! The Charging Clip integrates a battery pack that can harness energy from the moving spokes of a cycle. What you need to do is clip the device to the cycle spoke and let physics and engineering take over. The drill is simple; you ride your bike, tank up the device and then juice your phone. So very easy!
