Every Car is a Stoplight

Every Car is a Stoplight

The addition of brake lights to vehicles & stoplights to intersections are two major life-saving standards, but still some problems exist when drivers are following large buses or trucks that block traffic signals. This design, simply called the Signal License Plate, combines the functionality of both to give heightened awareness to drivers approaching from behind. As an additional layer of safety, the plates work in tandem with signals to not only display the current red/yellow/green light, but count down to give drivers preparedness for changing conditions.

12 O'clock Somewhere

12 O’clock Somewhere

12:00 on a watch face marks the end of a day for someone, but it also means the beginning of a new day for someone else. Inspired by this relationship, Reset is a modern timepiece that displays user-defined points in time to indicate daylight hours in other parts of the world where family and friends may be. Represented in a linear form across the face, wearers can easily tell if they’re within an appropriate time to call, or simply be reminded their loved ones are starting a new day.

The Coffee Sleeve

The Coffee Sleeve

The stats are very clear, used coffee grounds are literally dumped by cafés and little thought given to their recycling. Incidentally the grounds are good raw material for dehumidification, deodorization and compost. However, today we focus on the ECO Sleeve Maker, which compresses and converts used coffee grounds into sleeves for the coffee cups. Of course we need to add water and a little bit of sugar to fashion a stiff sleeve, moreover we can dispose the sleeve as compost and continue the eco chain.

A Different Desk from the Rest

A Different Desk from the Rest

Soundbox is a one-of-a-kind design that stands out both aesthetically and functionally! At the heart of this whimsical desk is an integrated old-school amplification system that captures audio from a recessed smartphone dock built-in to its surface. Odd, but oh-so cool! An eccentric blend of materials including mesh and polished metalwork mixed with patchwork wood are a perfect compliment to its overall unconventionality.

Designer Mist

Designer Mist

Time and again we see designers repurposing everyday objects into something more stylish and sophisticated than their original purpose. For example, we have here the Bottle Humidifier Mini, which is the fusion of precision engineering and aesthetic design. Its native intention is akin to a medicinal bottle, however in its refined version it’s everything that a humidifier should be. Hook it up via USB and experience powerful supply of humidity required by your personal space – bedroom, office, or living room.
