Grocery Bag Chic, Moukisac Review

Grocery Bag Chic, Moukisac Review

Walk into any supermarket today and you’ll see a new trend. People are bringing their own shopping bags. With plastic bags labeled as the evil accomplice to the environmental problem, a number of companies have taken it upon themselves to design grocery bags durable enough for hauling while remaining questionably stylish. After all, being “green” is now a message people want to project so shopping bags have had to evolve into accessories. I’ve been using the Moukisac shopping bag for the past few months and it promises utilitarian chic.

Bag for All Occasions

Bag for All Occasions

The Arrow Backpack keeps up with all your activites; gym, work, and school. The plastic structure collapses and expands to suit your baggage needed. It’s uniquely shaped to support your spine and the large neoprene straps relieve weight and stress on the shoulders. At its smallest, you can divide the bag into 2 separate modules.

I like big backpacks and I cannot lie…

Got some junk in your trunk? Need a backpack with some extra back? Well let me ASSk you something. Would you be caught with your pants down without one of these “female form” inspired backpacks dubbed “The Peach” by Yen-Hsiang Skeet Wang? The designer felt it necessary to tell us that he is like totally into chicks see.. and that he thinks a girls “bum” is like really erotic.

Heat Pressed Bags, Fun Accident

Heat Pressed Bags, Fun Accident

Check out this very cool bag. The structure, form, and seal are all created using heat presses. It’s a single inexpensive process that yields some pretty good results. Reminds me of old school lunch bags my mom used to pack for me. They kept my hot foods hot and cold drinks cold. I’d love to see that come back. I can image guest artists design and screenprint limited edition runs. Any takers?

Overtstuffed Bags Not A Problem

Overtstuffed Bags Not A Problem

The Kompressor Luggage is a concept that uses seatbelt like straps to compress its volume by nearly 40%. The space savings means you can take it as carry-on luggage, especially helpful since some airlines now charge for check-ins. The center dial does double duty by keeping your contents locked up and as a ninja star when needed. Okay so that last bit was a jest but surely that would be totally cool if true.

For example, you could have one module for rock climbing, one for base jumping, and one for snowboarding. You just snap on which ever module you need to the strap skeleton which comes with comfy padded shoulder straps and pockets for extra goodies.
