Any of you remember Erector sets? This modular partitioning system called Cell designed by the Edelweiss Industrial Design studio is sorta like a simplified one.

Joyn are hexagon shaped pieces that can easily be attached to one another to form an object with multiple uses. It’s perfect divider for all types of spaces, both for private and professional use. There is no need for a standing structure; it’s connected and swiftly hung up, on a steel cable using the accompanying attachment pieces, or directly to the wall using a number of fixation methods.

The Spa Intercontinental on Park Lane London has undergone something of a facelift of late. Not only has Theo Randall’s restaurant on the ground floor enjoyed six proud months of packed tables and critical praise since it opened at the end of last year, but now a spa to rival the best in the world has joined it as part of a 76 million refurbishment.

The roller called Wallpeppr is capable of coating various surfaces with images downloaded from the flickr online image community. Wallpeppr is connected to the computer via a network cable (a wireless version is on the go). The driver-software plugs into the flickr web-interface which holds controls for the output size of the image.

“This is Not a Shadow” is a site-specific environmental installation. The interpretation of a tree shadow creates a virtually defined space and becomes a “pedestrian stop” where passers-by can sit alone or with others.

One tile many patterns: Play! Putting a number of Play tiles together they connect to build a total composition. The beauty of this concept: Differing from conventional pattern tiles, this composition can be freely modified by rotating several tiles 90, 180 or 270. A single tile allows you to design an incredible amount of various patterns. Those can be used to define different sections, e.g. gangways and lounge areas in public spaces.
