Backing Up Your Trash

Backing Up Your Trash

How many times have you deleted something only to need it later. All the recovery software in the world might not bring it back and so we need a better solution. The Tempo hard drive looks like a recycling bin because that’s exactly what it is. Anytime you delete files from your computer, those files actually move to the Tempo. When the green ring lights up, it’s time to check and make sure you REALLY want these files gone FOREVER.

Marrakesh - Color Modular LED Lighting System Update

Marrakesh – Color Modular LED Lighting System Update

Three weeks ago we published the Marrakesh Lighting by Mindspring, they sent us more images as they prepare for the upcoming trade show Maison et Objet that will take place soon. As the name suggests, the Marrakesh is inspired by ancient design concepts. Its inspiration derives from Chinese lattice works, and the Middle Eastern concept of Aniconism, the basis of much of Islamic art.

A Phone That Really Hangs Up

A Phone That Really Hangs Up

This cordless hanger phone enables new ways and new spaces to place your phone when not in use. “Hanging up” your phone takes on a whole new meaning as phone calls are ended by simply the hanging action. Letting it stand on a table also turns it off. Comes with an induction charger and transmitter in the form of a hook. It looks a little uncomfortable to hold and I assume it’ll using some sort of motion sensing technology ala iPhone.

Speaker Chair

Speaker Chair

When furniture is fused with high tech kit the results are often about as comfortable and stylish as sandpaper g-string. But the new Speaker Chair by designer Pinju Chen defies the norm with its charmingly curvaceous lines and comfy interior cushion, which sent us from nought to napping in only a few seconds… until we were suddenly awoken by some beefy rock riffs.

Yogis Are Now Hi-Tech

Yogis Are Now Hi-Tech

Imagine a yoga mat you unfurl from a metal tube that’s actually a stereo. It can take in memory cards or play content off an MP3 player. The real tech candy here is the mat which is made of an electronic paper screen. The idea is you can attend yoga classes from anywhere since streaming video plays right on the mat.

It has a bit of humor in it since we all know how working thru long hours straight into the the night can be frustrating. Next time, plug in the Bright Idea light and “bing”, maybe you’ll get an idea. Cartoons huh?
