Herman Miller Setu Review

Lets keep it real. The Herman Miller Setu is priced to sell at $650. It’s no Embody but in this economy throwing around over $1k for a chair is wishful. The good folks at Herman Miller sent one to try out and my bum (cue Brits laughing) and back thank you. The supportive mesh and innovative spinal support really do make the difference. Whatever you do, don’t call it a poor man’s Embody. Hit the jump for my review.

Dell Adamo XPS, World’s Thinnest Laptop Reviewed

At a scant 9.99mm, the Dell Adamo XPS really is the world’s thinnest notebook – truly design like no other. I’ve been trying to keep my tongue in check when Dell invited me to grab a first hand look at their new baby. It doesn’t look real. It’s almost too thin, yet underneath that metal exterior and diamond cut logo is hardware powerful enough to run Windows 7 without skipping a beat. Hit the jump for my review.

Tea Time, Modenn FLO Review

Love me a cup of homemade tea, don’t you? I haven’t heard much about this Canadian brand  Modenn but one of my favorite design studios (OHM) designed it and were kind enough to send me one for review. Hands down it trumps any generic tea set and it was a good excuse to put aside my Sorapot (which isn’t a tea set) and steep the traditional way. Hit the jump and come join me. Nike LunarGlide+ Review

Nike is renowned the world over for their running shoes so when the LunarGlide+ racked up award after award for product design, I got interested. Stereo Bluetooth Earbuds That Actually Work!

Sony approached me a few months ago about a stereo bluetooth headset. I had my doubts because I’ve used my share and the declarations never meet up with experience. The Sony Ericsson HBH-IS800 however are all that and a bag of chips provided you have a fully compatible device. Hit the jump for my review.

The Ultimate Flat Iron, KQC Turbo Review

A flat iron review? Are you serious? Yes I’m TOTALLY FOR SERIOUS. The KQC Turbo Generation II isn’t just any flat iron. It comes with a slew of promises from faster, safer heating to protecting your hair while straightening it. Any of you privy to the experience of professional irons know there is a huge difference between a $200+ iron and a $30+ iron. Busy Buddy Kibble Nibble Review

This is just one of many upcoming video reviews from an awesome company called Premier and their line of dog toys called Busy Buddy. The Kibble Nibble Food and Treat Dispenser is a hollow ball with openings on each end. The premise is simple. Put food in the ball and give it to Rover. It’s an easy game for any dog to figure out and they love it. It keeps them moving and interactivity is key to a positive doggy state of mind. Hit the jump to see my dog Miko in action!

Plastic Protection, BodyGuardz Review

Conscientious buyers are protective of their electronic gadgets, literally. I recently went on a friendly tirade about how ugly most protective coverings are. The only alternative as of now are from company’s like BodyGuardz who make scratch-proof resistant skins for all your electronic goodies. I asked to review the skin designed for the Nintendo DSlite. I figure the device’s deceivingly simple geometry would provide a better test subject.

Paper Furniture, Way Basics Review

No tools or instructions required and it won’t break me into sweat to assemble it?  Sign me up! Way Basics is a company that produces these module furniture pieces made from, wait for it… paper! zBoards as they call it, is a revolutionary material that is sustainably made and 100% recyclable. It’s super strong yet weights 62% less than particle board. They sent me their basic cube and in less than 10 minutes, I had a new shelving unit all with the magic of 3M tape. I’m serious!

Going Pro on a Budget, Olympus E-3 Review

It’s not the newest kid on the block but the Olympus E-3 still produces amazing pictures. The 2008 flagship model faces stiff competition but fans are loyal because of the amazing Zuiko optics, splash-proof magnesium body, and the world’s fastest autofocus. I took the E-3 and the Zuiko 12-60mm SWD lens to the San Diego Zoo for a test run. The results are impressive.
