Swim Safe App

Swim Safe App

Everyone loves the beach, especially kids… but parents know that it can be just as dangerous as it is fun! The Harvey Swim Harness app combination now lets parents rest assure that their little ones will be safe playing in the surf. The child’s smart-harness relays GPS and heart rate/breathing vitals to the system which is accessible via parents’ smartphones. Every child wearing a harness is visible to anyone viewing the app, so other parents are alerted anytime a nearby child is in danger to ensure they have the maximum chance of rescue.

The only time fake can be fashionable!

The only time fake can be fashionable!

The Impetus leg prosthetic gives sports-minded amputees not only the capability to play sports again, but to boost their confidence while doing so. 3D printed sections on the design can be interchanged and created precisely for the wearer’s individual taste and style or to carry uniform colors. Designed and shaped to bipedal physics and proportions, it gives amputees ability and aesthetics on the same level as non-amputee players.

Surf the Streets!

Surf the Streets!

DESKA Board’s CitySurf concept brings the thrill of extreme sports like snowboarding and surfing to the streets! It’s hard to compare to anything else because it’s seriously unique. On one hand, it rides like a skateboard with a similar stance and low clearance, but features a hand brake, 3 larger wheels, and a flexible belt on which the rider stands. On the other, it’s akin to a windsurf board with its sail used to propel it and control direction.

Lean, Mean, Muscle Machine

Lean, Mean, Muscle Machine

At a glance, this wild bike concept looks more like a sculpture… maybe even something out of the Body Worlds Exhibit! Drawing from our very own anatomy, Zapfina takes inspiration from the relationship between bones, ligaments, and muscles, translating their connection to a design language fit for 2-wheels. The Z shaped frame was formed like a joint to absorb shock and protect moving components like the chain and gears. All it needs is a little human muscle!

Tricky for Fishies but Good for Us!

Any successful fisherman knows that light is key in making a catch. That’s why so many lures are pretty and glittery, but in deep water they’re really no use as the light only penetrates just below the surface. Problem solved! The Solar Rapala lure harnessed the sun’s energy to power its shimmering LED light, making it not only more effective during daylight but the single best bait to use at night!

Ideal for urban cyclists, the DORA helmet works in tandem with adaptable Bluetooth handlebar controls to give surrounding vehicles notice of the rider’s intent to turn or brake with universally recognizable light signals and colors. All-Season Headphones

All-Season Headphones

If you’re prepping to hit the slopes this winter then you’ll probably be including an MP3 player and headphones as part of your regular gear. While music can enhance the experience, the uncomfortableness of extended ear-bud wear can be a real pain which is why lots of helmets now have built in headphones. This innovative helmet design takes things a step further, utilizing a wireless headphone system that can also be easily removed when the snow melts off! Wet N Seriously Wild

Wet N Seriously Wild

This far-out concept by Jurmol Yao takes extreme watersports to an entirely new level. The design falls somewhere between a wakeboard and jet ski, with a propulsion system built directly into the bottom of the board, allowing adrenaline junkies to get serious air or even “board” underwater. How? We’re not sure exactly, but we want it… now.
