Lighting to root for!

Lighting to root for!

There’s little to dislike about the simplicity of a single bulb pendant, but if you’re not into the raw industrial look, the Root socket is the perfect way to warm it up! Sustainably crafted from 100% natural beech wood, the collection is manufactured in low volume production from raw materials. Still, they’re customizable in two lengths (140 & 250mm), 3 finishes (beech, walnut, oak), cord selection (12 fabric finishes), and finally, bulb type (E27 or GU10-LED). Great as a solo, even better as a cluster!

Back to basics and loving it!

Back to basics and loving it!

This utilitarian e-Ink phone by FormNation was designed for those who have better things to do than flick angry birds and flying pigs! It leaves behind the extraneous and instead is packed with powerful essentials like calendar, contacts, e-reading, and email apps. Everything you need and nothing you don’t! Thanks to its e-ink display and straightforward functionality, it can last an entire month on one charge. Yes, it lacks a vivid color display. But think of it as the difference between full color versus artistic black and white photography.

Out of This World Fixie

Out of This World Fixie

As you might have guessed from the name, the Space Roam fixed gear bike looks to the universe for inspiration to break away from predictable design. Like liquid metal, the ultra-streamlined frame achieves an almost monocoque aesthetic with the only visible break being that of the front wheel. Built for speed, it’s so lightweight you’ll feel like you’re riding the moon!

Protecting Our Whales

Protecting Our Whales

One of the reasons why whales get stranded at beaches is because the signals that they send out gauge the depth of the waters may be distorted in areas where the shores are gently sloping. What happens is that they lose their way and bearings and end up washed onshore. The Whale Whispererr hopes to fix this problem.

The Only Mechanical Smartwatch We Want

The Only Mechanical Smartwatch We Want

As a watch enthusiast, I have always questioned, why would men give up their sole symbol of prosperity and class to an e-ink display? The prime real estate in question – the wrist – is worthy of a mechanical creation that screams haute horology. However, my mindset changed when I came across the Kairos Mechanical Smartwatch, the World’s first and only mechanical smart watch hybrid.

Fall Back in Love with Landlines

Fall Back in Love with Landlines

If you’re like me, then you haven’t used a landline phone in years! The entire experience is sort of pedestrian and banal, but I do daydream daily about how nice it would be to not have a dropped call every other time. The Hello Cord phone combines the best of both worlds with the user-friendliness and convenience of your mobile device and the reliability of a landline. It works in tandem with your smartphone via an app that lets you access all your contacts and dial straight from the screen. No more looking and punching numbers, and more looking and punching numbers!

The Professional's Gym Bag

The Professional’s Gym Bag

Look around your office & you’ll likely see a striking number of people carrying 2 bags: 1 for work and 1 for the gym. This is because most bags aren’t suited for both. The Aer Duffel Pack fills this unique gap with thoughtfully designed compartments & a demure aesthetic that you can take anywhere. The main zipper gives you full access to the interior while the side pockets give you quick access to smaller items. At the bottom is a ventilated pouch for used clothes/shoes. For work, a padded compartment at the back cradles your laptop, books & papers.
