Play! - Coffee Table by BCXSY Studio

Play! – Coffee Table by BCXSY Studio

PLAY! consists of a collection of products that was conceived out of a desire to bring a sense of nostalgia and playfulness into the grown-up environment. Recognizable childhood motifs and patterns are reborn and remolded into new designs for furniture, lighting, and home ware. The PLAY! Coffee Table has a slide-puzzle top. With each arrangement, the missing piece reveals one of sixteen storage boxes.

Hood Chair by Broberg Ridderstrale

Hood Chair by Broberg Ridderstrale

This chair originates from a workshop with the Campana brothers in 2003. The theme was “containment” and “constructing from deconstruction”. Furniture often take new shapes when they are being used. The user can, for example, alter the appearance of a chair by laying his/her coat over the seat and there by quietly stating “taken”.

Mosquito Chair by Michael Bihain

Mosquito Chair by Michael Bihain

Mosquito is the result of a reflexion relating to the humanism and the autonomy of the piece of furniture. A first gesture towards the `not furniture’. The answer takes to the form an alive being. A chair autonomous, obvious, readily agreeing to play the part of comfortable chair. The Mosquito chair is carried out starting from one only bent timber sheet.

Peekaboo Lounge by Anlynn Lee

Inspired by most nature landscapes, the designer paid specific attention to the development of the form for the modular seat and panel, and the impression they would give once they are put together in many different ways. The little windows on each panel give the users just enough privacy and a secret chance to check out the hotties on the other side.
