Dip And Scoop

Dip And Scoop

The Foldable Coffee Measuring Spoon can be used as a spoon for coffee powder – or salt, sugar, and even tea! The physics part of the design is this: a straight strip goes deeper into the powder than a spoon with a head. A simple pressure to the long shaft of the spoon results in the formation of a spoon head. This makes it easy to scoop up the powdery ingredient.

New Age In Cooking

New Age In Cooking

The Cyclone Cooking System is quite a contemporary take on existing burners and cook-tops. Integrating high-tech features, you can expect the high-efficiency direct flame burners to make cooking a pleasurable and relatively a faster process. The LED indicator system is especially cool!

Straight From Chopping Board To The Fire

Straight From Chopping Board To The Fire

The Curling Pan is one heck of an innovation! Just imagine popping the cutting board onto the fire and get cooking right away! This means that the board is the pan. Crafted from shape-memory alloy, it transforms from a flat cutting board to a frying pan when it comes in contact with heat. The edges start to curl up after a certain temperature. This is because of the nature of the material with which it is made from: shape-memory alloy with a two-way memory effect.

Double The Warmth

Double The Warmth

Inspired by the Asian idea that the earth was square and heaven was round, the Double Warm Multi-functional and Energy-efficient Coal Stove was conceptualized. It is designed to have a water-storage volume surrounding the furnace so that you can boil water while you use the stove for cooking. This hot water can be used for bathing etc. Nice idea, especially since it is aimed for the energy-starved counties where resources are expensive and scarce.

The Minimalist Coffee Brewing Scale

The Minimalist Coffee Brewing Scale

Fresh roasted beans, a nice dripper and fine-tuned grinder are great, but serious coffee drinkers know that using a scale rather than measured scoops is the only way to achieve the elusive perfect cup! For ease of use and cleanliness, the Acaia scale uses responsive, waterproof, touch-sensitive buttons and a flat, silicon bottom rather than extended feet to enhance it’s minimal look. Better yet, there’s an iPhone app that will not only show the weight, but keep track of brew time and coffee recipes!

Fiery Feast

Fiery Feast

The Volcano is a barbecue grill that is modeled on the unpredictable volcanic eruptions seen in mountains. The idea stemmed from the love of watching dancing flames on barbecues as they slowly cooked and grilled assorted food items and transformed them to yummy delicacies. Although a cumbersome process, people still go through the pains of setting up the grill and indulging in elaborate fares, hopefully the Volcano will make life easier for them all.

Set it and forget it!

Set it and forget it!

Orb is a universal replacement stove knob that aims to make kitchens smarter. To tackle the problem of users forgetting about their stove being on, the design uses a series of “whistles” to periodically remind the user to check on the items being cooked. In the event that the user has become distracted and forgotten, the device will automatically rotate to the off position at the end of the cycle. Attachable to any stove, old or new, it transforms a basic appliance into a smart one!

Single-Person Cooking

Single-Person Cooking

S.I.A.M. fits perfectly into the kitchen of a singleton. It’s basically a built-in hood and induction cooker. Ideal for quick dishes that require stir-frying, the cooker folds up when not in use. The action of opening and closing the cooker, automatically switches it on or off. I kinda like its form and I think it will fit well in a compact kitchen.
