Bringing the Outdoors Inside Furniture by Eli Gutierrez

The unusual idea of using street furniture and transforming it into a bench for the home with a fresh and natural connotation is a new way of “bringing the outdoors inside”. The repetition of a unique element in the furniture provokes delicate tensions, which translate into a lightweight structure and sensation. This piece can be used outdoors as well, providing support for plants to grow through it and merge with the landscape.

One Tile - Many Patterns by Drid

One Tile – Many Patterns by Drid

One tile many patterns: Play! Putting a number of Play tiles together they connect to build a total composition. The beauty of this concept: Differing from conventional pattern tiles, this composition can be freely modified by rotating several tiles 90, 180 or 270. A single tile allows you to design an incredible amount of various patterns. Those can be used to define different sections, e.g. gangways and lounge areas in public spaces.

With a Pinch of Salt by Matthias Lange

With a Pinch of Salt by Matthias Lange

The “with a pinch of salt shaker” emulates the gesture of putting “a pinch of salt” in a meal. The user simply slides the halves of the shaker, as if handling the salt directly. As the halves slide past each other an opening is formed, out of which the salt is disposed. This gives the user a lot of control over the amount of salt released. When the shaker is not being used, the salt is protected from moisture – and as such the salt remains dry and crisp, as is waits to be used in the next meal.
