You Like the Cold Water? Vertical Ice.

You love the cold water. For when you want ice in a nice place, there is the “Iced Carafe.” Design team “Officeoriginair” brings you what’s basically a simple contraption, made simply for having wonderful time! Molded plastic with a rubber stopper, made in such a fashion that if you freeze an amount of water in the bottle while it’s on it’s side, the ice will stay put!

Ringmarks Be Gone

Pilo Pilo ring is a finger ring with a mini cushion attached to it, designed to be both stylish and useful. I myself know I leave all kinds strange marks on my face as I ponder the genius bestowed upon me. I’m not really a ring wearer but I’ve had more impressions of my wrist watch than I care to admit. A cushion on a ring? Hey, I’ve seen stranger and this concept actually makes sense to me.

Form Follows Fashion

Not a lot of fashion pieces manage to catch our eyes here at Yanko Design. There are of course the few exceptions like the Geek Chic Keyboard Jeans, and the Kevlar Hoodie, but this piece by Sartoria Vico called “Sciarpone” makes a slightly more palatable fashion statement. This clever convertible sweater/scarf design made of 100% Merino wool is perfect for the ever changing moods of my girlfriend and unpredictable spring time weather here in Los Angeles.

Cutesy Sushi

Now I love me some Sushi, and have to go at least one night a week to enjoy it. Unfortunately, the store I go to has the traditional boring serving set that well, really does nothing for me. I pay it no mind. Like I said, it is quite boring. Now, I have been introduced to a new design by Stefano Giovannoni, and I have to get my hands on a set like this.

Alessi Chin Family With the National Palace Museum of Taiwan by Giovannoni & Takeda

The collaboration between Alessi and the NPM of Taiwan grew out of the museum’s wish to open itself yet further to the international scene, and to encourage greater awareness of Chinese history and culture in the West. We asked Stefano Giovannoni to imagine and design a sort of mascot for the new Museum of the 21st Century.
