Deep Love of Coffee

Deep Love of Coffee

North Americans are usually turned off by that last bit of wet, dark grinds found at the bottom of a cup of coffee. While most Europeans treat the last sip of coffee as an extra end treat of concentrated goodness. Designer Sunman Kwon has found a new reason to drink your coffee to the last drop. By incorporating a cleverly concealed symbolic message, your journey to the bottom of your cup becomes a journey into the universal language of love.

Your Spoon is Doomed...

Your Spoon is Doomed…

Spoons are so last year. Who has time to find a clean one, lift your hand, swirl your wrist to mix in sugar with your tea or coffee, tap the spoon dry or lick it and then place it back on the plate? I mean really, are we animals!? No, most of us are not. So that is why Florian Dussopt, Jérémie Reneau & Julie Girard got together and created the “Ceramix For Mix” saucer and cup design.

Flavoring My Tossed Salad :)

Flavoring My Tossed Salad :)

I’m probably one of the few people who doesn’t like adding salt and pepper to my salads because I prefer sweet nutty flavors. Something like ginger honey vinaigrette or a sesame pear dressing. However many salad aficionados won’t do a salad without salt and pepper so to make tossing one a little more convenient, these Pepperfork and Saltspoon utensils are the perfect set.

Cookie Concept

Cookie Concept

Naysayers beware because this cookie is just a concept. Sorry! For the rest of us, let me tell you about Xofff. Quite simply it’s a crunchy cookie dipped in chocolate in the shape of spilled liquid. Okay so it’s not revolutionary but it does make for a fun presentation. I’m guessing designer Marc Graells was a little hungry when he dreamt this up.

Tree That Grows Water

Tree That Grows Water

My my, these Korean designers just never run out of ideas. The latest is a Water Tree. Hear us out. Imagine a pendent lamp over your dining room table. Now imagine if that lamp had fruit. Imagine if that fruit held water. And while we’re at it lets say that water is filtered. That’s the Water Tree concept.

Feeding Your Baby Just Got Easier

Feeding Your Baby Just Got Easier

SPOO is a design by Paul Sandip. SPOO is an ergonomical utensil that is an answer to prayer for parents of little ones. The twisted design, which is both comfortable to use for right and left handed parents, allows you to grasp the feeding spoon without having to use any twisting movements of the wrist. The SPOO tip is soft enough for even swollen little gums.

Cutesy Sushi

Cutesy Sushi

Now I love me some Sushi, and have to go at least one night a week to enjoy it. Unfortunately, the store I go to has the traditional boring serving set that well, really does nothing for me. I pay it no mind. Like I said, it is quite boring. Now, I have been introduced to a new design by Stefano Giovannoni, and I have to get my hands on a set like this.

Decant Your Memory

Decant Your Memory

Oh look, another use for RFID tags! The WineTeller is a fancy wine opener smart enough to read RFID enabled corks! The embedded LCD display translates “wine language” into laymen terms because not everybody knows what a coulure or vignoble means.

I Think I Have Lost My Appetite

I Think I Have Lost My Appetite

Those of you reading this probably are quite blessed with the ability to have anything to eat you want at any time of day. Unfortunately, there are many people who do not have that privilege. Designer Rafael Morgan created the following design with those less fortunate in mind. The Indigestive Plate was created with a secret message.

Need More Cabinet Space

Need More Cabinet Space

I don’t know about you, but I am tired of looking in my cabinets at all the different size and shapes of plates and bowls that seem to eat up all the storage space. Bowls for soups and salads, small plates and large plates-the list goes on forever. Now with a new design from Aleksey Belyalov, my problem of lack of storage space is now history. 2Side is a design that has brought together two different types of plates and made them into one.

You Spin Me Right Round Baby

You Spin Me Right Round Baby

Designed bearing similarities to an old garden table, the Mulinello, or “the twist” table combines several designs into one table. In the middle, the table can spin around similar to that of a “lazy susan”, allowing for dinner guests to grab what they need without having to reach across the table with bad manners.

A Little Dab Will Do Ya

A Little Dab Will Do Ya

Salt is a spice that we use daily in preparing our meals. It adds flavor to very bland foods. However, we tend to overdo it on the salt, which can cause bad problems for our bodies. Kakujio was designed to eliminate placing too much salt on our foods. It comes pre-measured at 2.5 cc’s each. With that, there will be no more over salting of foods and the food will come out perfect each time we prepare it.

Swanky High-tech Serving

Swanky High-tech Serving

Did you know 12% of food born illnesses come from improper temperatures? Sure it may have been cooked but often times food is left out on a table for guests to serve themselves. In just one hour, as the food reaches room temperature, bacteria can run rampant. That’s where the Fête concept serving plates come in.
