Riot!!

Riot!!

So it might be just a little paranoid, but the Riot Table is definitely one uniquely versatile piece (and quite attractive!). A response to recent rioting around the world, the table features a welded steel pipe frame and removable top that doubles as a shield! You never know!

Evolution of the Wine Glass

Evolution of the Wine Glass

Whether you’re a traditionalist and prefer a stemmed wine glass or you like the informality of a stemless glass, you’ll appreciate this unique design by Martin Jakobsen. The rEvolution’s angular placement of the stem on the side of the glass isn’t just aesthetically eccentric, it’s also practical for both pouring and drinking. A great conversation starter that you can own here.

Brilliant Tableware

Brilliant Tableware

I’m loving this bronze cutlery by designer Maximilian Löw. The set combines elegant, soft curves similar to that of classic cutlery with sharp, rigorous edges that give it modern, masculine appeal. For each piece, a 3D model was created so that different variations could be built using CNC technology. After the ergonomic & aesthetic requirements were achieved, preperations for the bronze casting process were made. The result: stark yet elegant tableware in high polished bronze that deserves to be shown off.

Super Bowl

Super Bowl

The 30-degree Slope is a bowl specifically designed for folks with trembling hands. This kinda condition is widespread in the silver generation, but it can be predominant in the youth as well. For example my mother has this condition since her teenage years; she can’t even hold a cup and saucer with a steady hand. A very dignified and thoughtful solution is this tilting bowl with a angle at one end.

Disposable Bowls Look Too Good

Disposable Bowls Look Too Good

Food delivery containers are usually made of paper, plastic or foam. They’re quick to make, cheap to produce and provide very little incentive to reuse. The Eco Bowls are designed to quick assemble down into separate components to be easier for disposal. They also happen to look good enough to keep and reuse so my question is, why wouldn’t you?

For the Curious Coffee Lover

For the Curious Coffee Lover

The idea behind the Brothers in Arms espresso set was to express a sense of unity between objects within in the series. Using embedded magnets as connectors, each set of cup, saucer, and spoon becomes a conjoined false single piece. A clever design sure to catch the curiosity of each new user.

Chopstick Gardens

Chopstick Gardens

The “To Be Nature Wood Chopstick” has a convoluted name but presents an interesting contribution to the “grow from waste” ethos that’s so popular these days. It starts life in your hands just like an ordinary set of chopsticks except it’s tipped with a starch cap hiding a seed. When you’re done with it, stick the starch end down into the ground and watch as new life climbs up your sweet and sour chicken coated chopstick.

Don't Mess With This Tea Set

Don’t Mess With This Tea Set

This tea set has got a nasty attitude in all the right ways. Designer José Paulo Alves Corceiro was inspired to design a set of china that wasn’t boring or dainty, and the Nasty Set is anything but. The porcelain set’s grimacing faces and unorthodox shape recall the iconography of comics, animated film, and video games. Look a little Pac-Man to me!

Dancing Cups

Dancing Cups

Ballare (Italian for dance) is a series of ceramic drinking cups by designer Yury Dovganyuk with a twist… literally. Inspired by a dancer’s movement, the elegant cups appear to twirl before your eyes. Almost too pretty to drink out of!

An Angel in the Morning

An Angel in the Morning

There’s nothing quite like a steaming hot cup of coffee to start the workday- but it’s easy to neglect once you get wrapped up at your desk. The HALO heating spoon is a nifty little gadget that’ll keep your drink piping hot as long as you’d like. Intuitive controls and light/color signals make it super-easy to use. Just pop it in, switch on, and let it do the rest!

Seriously Simple Mixing Bowl

Seriously Simple Mixing Bowl

I’m all about some wood bowls, and this particular set has an especially timeless look that I’m loving. The hard, dense ash wood of the Bowling set of mixing bowls is known for its warm finishing qualities and is also as strong as it is elastic, ensuring a long life of use. A slightly larger, gently rounded lip makes this design incredibly ergonomic and attractive- perfect for a variety of tasks in and out of the kitchen. Lean Dish for the Crispy Toast Lover

Lean Dish for the Crispy Toast Lover

A nice concept for a minimal yet functional dish that keeps your morning toast crispy. The  Lean Dish has two subtle ridges raised just high enough, and spaced just far enough apart, to support a varying range of bread slice sizes. This prevents it from touching runny eggs and butter (unless you love that sort of thing). It saves plates because you only have to use one dish. Cheers to crispy toast!

Tricky Tableware

Tricky Tableware

I love this thought-provoking design. The result of an exploration into how intangible entities can be transformed into useful physical objects that represent their likeness, the Shadow series of cutlery and tableware gives the illusion that each object is being lit from above by a single light source. Each “shadow” is actually a separate protective layer between the object and surface that guards against heat and stain. A great conversation piece.
