Yes! This is a grill by one of the longest-winded design team names in the business, or at least that I’ve ever seen: Liebschaften Möbelgestaltung. They’ve made this lovely little grill and have titled it “Longgrill.” It’s the missing link between grill and fire bowl! One simple slider’s all it took, all it takes, all it will take when you’re out camping like a real trooper!

In response to those who wish to be free of their decision between a blaze and a glow, designers at Liebschaften Möbelgestaltung have conjured this magnificent amalgamation. Barbecue and start things on fire, all at the same time!

The top frame slides easily, as I’m sure you can see. The carrier is made of scaled steel, the grill is made of stainless steel, and the fire bowl sits upon three basalt stones.

Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to justify to your significant other.

I always enjoy a good cup of facts! What have a just drunk? You should always ask yourself that. Or what have I got the opportunity to drink, here? You’d be wiser to ask. Our pal Hans A Huseklepp teams up with two other designers to bring you this lovely set of ceramic tableware for Milan Expo 2015.

Facts of the world.

This series of cups and such are called “Wake Up.” Huseklepp worked with fellow designers Karl Sjöstrøm and Henning R. Nielsen to serve you some brain sustenance.

Each container symbolizes a statistic explaining the inequality present in the world today. In the difference in height between each cup and plate is shown the difference between the rich and the poor, the fortunate and the destitute. Developed in cooperation with Vecchio Lodi Ceramics in Lombardia, Italy.

Made locally to inspire people to act globally.

If you are the sort of person that’s got their fingers in the 3D rendering world, you might know about computer graphics researcher Martin Newell. In 1975 he took it upon himself to digitize his own Melitta teapot. Since then the teapot has become a common symbol, a basic project for every 3D object worker and designer. What Art Lebedev studio’s done here is to take that concept, that teapot, and push it back into the real. Red, green, blue, and alpha.

Below you’ll see a bunch of little rectangles showing their search for the correct number of polygons, then take a peek at the final product. Or look at the pics in any order you want, too, I suppose.

Lemme tell you how much I want this pot: I don’t drink coffee. I want this pot. I want this pot so much. It’s just lovely.

Love me a cup of homemade tea, don’t you? I haven’t heard much about this Canadian brand Modenn but one of my favorite design studios (OHM) designed it and were kind enough to send me one for review. Hands down it trumps any generic tea set and it was a good excuse to put aside my Sorapot (which isn’t a tea set) and steep the traditional way. Hit the jump and come join me. I gots me a story to tell.

Mmm nice hot freshly made tea. Nothing better than that, well maybe except for freshly made hot chocolate but that’s besides the point. The Modenn FLO Tea Set consists of a pot, creamer, and sugar pot. It’s strikingly modern. Every curve looks as if the smoothest hands guided each arch into place. Everything is beautifully bezeled, from the lid to the handle. I believe the set is made from white ceramic porcelain because even the blackest of teas didn’t stain it – a problem I’ve had with other white tea sets.

Okay but my LOVE LOVE LOVE feature is the spout. Why? I wish I captured this on video but it’s elegantly formed to give you one continuous stream of liquid, sort of in a high arch. Basically the set not only looks good but makes you look good. I totally looked so PRO moving the stream from cup to cup and without spillage. As soon as you set the pot down, the stream stops. No dribbling or running down the neck.

Mmm this tea still tastes good. Epiphany! I could use this for hot chocolate too! Stay turned kids as I try and figure out where you can purchase one. This would be a fantastic holiday gift. HINT HINT.

What we loved:

Beautiful organic minimalist design

High quality white porcelain doesn’t stain or crack

Nicely weighted when pouring

Price point is on the money ($80)

What could be improved:

Include a spoon

Include a couple tea cups

They need luxurious napkin holders. And of course, as always, Yanko Design comes through for you on that. The “Lecygne” is designed to complete the triad- luxurious dresses, luxurious people, and luxurious napkin holders. This napkin holder holds the napkin the way a lover holds their mate, becoming one with the napkin, embracing it. Made of pure beautiful silver, perfect and graceful.

The design of this sculpturistic object is partly inspired by the natural beauty of a swan. The aesthetics compliment the napkin as well as hold it. Pretty fabulous, yes? Looks like Kim Katinis had been painting epic oil paintings one after another, and suddenly decided to throw some metalworking in there to stay sharp.

Lovely!

Helen is Gorgeous and who am I to dispute that! Whoever said women are jealous of each other and can never praise each other’s beauty…..ermmm was right! The only reason why I praise Gorgeous Helen is coz she’s not an actual person, but a set of lampshades for your wine glasses. Wicked me! Anyway, this creative piece of parchment shade comes in 3 different styles: illuminating imprints of pleats, pearls and fringes. Light up some candles in the glasses and team them with these shades to make an impression!

Statistics in books make me just totally fall asleep. What this projects aims to do is to add another page to the three dimensional world of awareness. “What if this kind of information crawled off the page and seeped into the products that surround us?” That’s what Nadeem Haidary aims to explore. The first image you’ll see is of a fork whose prongs each represent the calories each capita consumes. Frightening?

As you can guess, the capita with the most calories has the prong most likely to pierce the food. The same is true with the plates that go with the forks in this set: the surface area of the plate relating directly to, again, the amount of calories per capita.

This project is called “Caloric Consumption” and if someone tries to make me eat with it when I’m chomping down on some amazing crab legs, I’m totally just not gonna look at the fork and pretend the plate doesn’t have a starving country on it. After the meal I will contribute money to a charitable fund.

Next time on Haidary’s extensive “In-Formed” project: Waste Production and Water Usage!
