Drying With Light

Drying With Light

Because the rainy season doesn’t agree with fresh laundry, the YOGA “light dryer” is here to help prevent mildew, water stains and bad smells when it’s humid. The upright unit not only offers a quick-dry solution, but has healthy functions such as ultraviolet sterilization and a purification system that brings a friendly smell and feel back to clothes even when it’s sticky out!

Dot Matrix Microwave for Dummies

Dot Matrix Microwave for Dummies

I know I’m not the only one who has NO CLUE how to use my microwave’s gazillion features. For us, there’s the Dot Matrix Microwave. — This innovative design takes the guesswork out of heating various foods by utilizing a single knob that toggles between the only the most common settings including defrost, liquids and 3 straightforward power settings. The design could have used a 2 million pixel LCD fancy shmancy screen, but nothing really emphasizes its simplicity like a beautifully basic dot matrix display!

Washing with Air

Washing with Air

Air Wash is a revolutionary way to clean garments using NO water and NO detergent! The eco-friendly design captures, compresses and converts CO2 into its liquid form which has the unique natural ability to penetrate and remove stains and dirt. Not only saving energy and freshwater during the wash cycle, there’s also no need to tumble dry! Once the wash cycle is over, the door automatically opens and the CO2 liquid instantly evaporates, leaving clothes fresh and dry.

The Flow of Fresh Flowers

The Flow of Fresh Flowers

Air fresheners and purification devices need not be ugly blobs that we are embarrassed to showcase. They can be as sleek as the Lotus Flow, which is the combination of an air purifier and lights. The petals of the surreal flower are made from electroluminescent fabric with a hydrophobic coating that helps draw in dust and pollutants into the core section. This is where the air purification happens. Overall a brilliant design, I’d love to see how far we could take this 2014 Electrolux Design Lab entry.
