No Numbers Or Hands, But It Tells Time

No Numbers Or Hands, But It Tells Time

Watch concepts without traditional numerics and even analog hands? Minimalism to its extreme – or at least that’s what designer Robert Dabi is pitching. His ZERO watch has two discs  (one each for hours and minutes) that spin to tell time. My problem with many numeric-less concepts is difficulty in reading them. The ZERO looks like it may avoid that because I have no problems reading it. No word if it’ll hit the market but the flexible metal/rubber band will come in an array of colors if it does. Revenge Of The G-Spot Mouse

Revenge Of The G-Spot Mouse

Its International Women’s Day and its befitting that I confuse you guys with Andy Kurovets’ Maze Of Time. There is a connection between the two… you had fun at the expense of the female anatomy and now it’s time to pay for those silly smirks! The Maze Of Time watch uses colors in a kaleidoscopic way to represent the time. So when you see a chaotic yellow line below, it’s actually the number “1”. Blue is the number “2”, red color stands for “3”, and “4” corresponds to the green etc. Kinda TokyoFlash-esque and time to get your grey cells working!

A Watch With No Face

A Watch With No Face

Aurora is a watch that doesn’t have an apparent dial. There’s more of a transparent face with no signs of the hour or minutes hand. It’s not as if the designer forgot to put them there, he just got innovative and decided to perk up this analog piece by including funky laser light beams for the hands. The red beam indicates the minutes and the blue depicts the hour. They appear only when you tap the bevel edge around the watch ring; until then it’s just a hip jewelry around your wrist.

Best Of Two Watch Worlds

Best Of Two Watch Worlds

Men are greedy and want only the best, so Designer Josh gives into their whims, by designing a classy Digital Analog Watch. The watchface hosts a modern digital display but still functions like a traditional analog watch. Details like date, day of the week, AM/PM are focused to the center. The AM/PM option switches to the seconds counter and a magnetic wrist band secures the watch around the wrist. Josh is all smiles coz his design has been picked by Cadence Watch Company and will go into production soon. Bravo!

I’m Totally Confused Between Digital And Analogue

I’m Totally Confused Between Digital And Analogue

This is the mish-mash of a Digital And Analogue Clock and aptly named the same. Typically digital clocks represent time in ciphers and analogue clocks indicate time using angles. Seen here is a concept that portrays the transformation of digital clock into analogue, when the numerals become blocks that display the time. These instants when the location of the blocks is changing can be explained as analogue concept. Hmmm, interesting…but do you think so as well?

Button Up A Watch This Winter

Button Up A Watch This Winter

Its winter and just when your hands get warm and cozy in your gloves; you get this itch to see the time. In a normal situation you would just ask someone else for the time and ignore the watch on your wrist (under the gloves). But I’m not here to relate a normal situation! Allow me to introduce you to the idea of a Button watch. A teeny-tiny clip-on that clips to your jacket or bag and tells you the time on a need-to-know-basis. Click the face once and it displays the time and date on the glass face for a few seconds.

This Time It’s A Sexy Watch

This Time It’s A Sexy Watch

Besides it’s sexy looks, what I like most about the OXY Watch is that it’s unisex. Routine specs like Time, Date, Calendar, and Alarm are included, but what makes it stand out is its gorgeous E-ink display. It’s been conceived in several versions with stainless steel and colored leather strap combos, encasing a monochrome display with mineral glass. XKALIA Typography has been used to display the numerics, which really goes well with the styling.

What Time is it? It's Time to Refill

What Time is it? It’s Time to Refill

Marty! It’s time to turn your clock back upside right. This is a wristwatch that’s got two titles. Alternates, if you will: one is “Liquid Time” while the alternative is “From Nowhere to Nowhere.” And as you may have guessed, this wristwatch has a clever little take oh how the 5th dimension TIME works.

ZAZ Up Your Time a Bit

ZAZ Up Your Time a Bit

I’m gonna go ahead and start out here by guessing your life could use a bit more ZAZ. Everybody could use a bit more ZAZ in their life, if you think about it. And that’s why Nooka has decided to name their new master-stroke the ZAZ. It’s a watch for 2010, with wacky / amazing features such as this: a completely transparent mineral crystal lens face. What’s that mean? It means you can see right through it. ALSO it means it appears to be displaying time directly on your wrist!

You Have Smartphones? Here's a Smartwatch

You Have Smartphones? Here’s a Smartwatch

Sleek and minimal? Check. Large screen? Check. Oodles of tech? Check, check and check! The E’llipse Traveler is a watch to end all watches. Why? Because it has a fancy processor and the latest algorithms in human-machine learning. Yes it learns you! It knows what you want and keeps you up to date. That’s not all. ZigBee and Bluetooth modules enable indoor localization, an impossible feat for GPS. The UI is based on widgets – one for every kind; time, weather, calendar and a custom API lets developers get creative.
