Inspired by the easy navigation and use of a book, the book style remote control was created. It was designed to tackle the current problem we face with existing remote controls for the elderly, interface being complicated and several remote needed to operate various machines. Consisting of three pages on the book remote to identify which are DVD, TV and Audio.

With smoking becoming banned in restaurants, Entree d’Air is a consumable that can be shared amongst a table to end their dining experience with a “healthy, and clear mind”.

The interior walling decoration subdivides the content in a cell-like system. Physically, the liquid acts with a stable and steady gravity point making it easy to maneuver. While designed to an effortless drinking, it also prevents the liquid to swing out of the glass and directly over the next chest, floor, DJ’s equipment, your shoes or brand new shirt… It would easily be a success at your next rave party.

Teastick seeks to re-define the form of a tea-bag, such that it can also act as a stirrer for the user, allowing the user to enjoy the tea through stirring it easily. The simplicity of the form also allows it to be hung from the sides of a mug, so that the tag does not drop into the tea.

The cast is intended for emergency use. It comes flat packed. To use it is folded up and the injured arm is slid in. After locking the velcro strips around the arm, then air is pumped inside the inflatable lining to hold the arm in place securely till the user gets hospital treatment. These shelves can be adhered to any magnetic surface. Each shelf contains between one and three neodymium magnets, which are very powerful and allow for a strong connection to your fridge or whiteboard. Simple, modular, useful.

1881 is a pocket sized digital camera, that references the heritage and value of heirloom objects. High tech device hidden in a low tech disguise. Inspired by the emotional connection and careful framing of locket photos, 1881 strives to create a more precious medium through which to share your memories, whether at home or on the street. Favorite photos are displayed every time you open, for quick peeks.

The design involved the outer casing acting infact as the packaging so once bought no packaging would be thrown away, thus reducing one of the largest waste sources society is currently tackling. The pictures show how it would be displayed in the shops. The casing is manufactured from recycled cardboard boxes and then treated.

The aim of Lucifer is to reduce the steps to light on a match. It’s easier to get fire from a lighter than from a match but a match is more practical (try to light on a candle in a pot with a lighter, you’ll burn your nails). To take a match, you turn upside down Lucifer, and once the match wood is outside, the match’s head will be jammed by the grater, pull the match to strike it on the orange grater part.
