Sounds Good to Me

SoundsGood is a hearing aid for women specifically designed to look like a classy earring. The device works in a very interesting way; depending upon the voice pitch of the speaker the earring displays graphic sound waves in colored signals. Different colors intuitively indicate if you are speaking too shrill, soft or appropriately for the user. I love the way technology is woven into an everyday object, so that the lady using the device is comfortable wearing the aid.

Atomic Number 22

There’s something delicate about the word “bracelet” – that is, until you see the Armadillo: 161, the latest from bold jewelry maker RogueDZN. Named after its 161 parts, the Armadillo is composed entirely of G5 aerospace grade titanium- the same super strong material used to build spacecraft, naval ships, and armor plating. Using the same software used to create the USA’s F22 joint strike fighter, each curve is obsessively perfected in 3D space, a feat impossible to achieve by hand.

Organic Jewelry

Concept X is a conceptual bracelet designed to create jewelry that mixes sensual organic forms with the strength of industrial, almost medical silhouettes. Its curvilinear body and undulating elements form a cincture-like cast – as if it naturally evolved there. The designers believe the evolutionary organic image fits well into modern life. They describe their project as “the re-definition of the spatial order of  jewelry”.

The Vivid collection consists of  ”half completed” components, encouraging the utilization of one’s own creativity while simultaneously encouraging the user to become a part of the presentation process.  The table, podium, jewelry tree, and clothes hanger can be customized and adorned with any material to fit the user’s individual aesthetic.

One of YD’s team members is soon to tie the knot, and I’m sure he must have picked the ring already. But just in case he hasn’t I’d like to suggest the “Heart Of Love”, a symbolic expression of love. The ring and pendent design try and replicate the ever-popular image of a wedding ring on the bible with casted “love” shadow, and do a pretty good job of it. Call it trick photography or simply the play of lights; undoubtedly it can’t get mushier or romantic than this!

See, the Charming Reminder is a chain with 9 charms each corresponding to some common events. I’m not sure an umbrella, newspaper, telephone, key, letter, plug, shoe, present, and a basket are enough to rep. your daily life, but if it is, might I suggest some spontaneity?
