To understand Iz you need some background: the Turks love this drink called Ayran or Airan, which is blended yogurt and water. They make it in a special kind of way, and as poetic as it may seem, using the Iz leaves a flower pattern on the user’s palm. The steel body of the cocktail maker is complimented with a blue intricate-pattern elastomer seal.

Things just seem to taste better when dispensed from objects made with thought and care. Like when my mom makes me a sandwich made exactly the way I make them, but for some reason her’s taste so much better. I am guessing that will be the case with this “Öz” pepper grinder by Ahmet Bektes and Koray Gelmez.

We all love fruit but they’re not exactly cheap and usually demand to be eaten sooner than later, otherwise the ravages of time wreak havoc on them. Blue is a concept fruit bowl that utilizes Action Fresh Blue technology – the same one found in the Halo vacuum and many new refrigerators. The blue wavelength inhibits and kills bacteria thereby prolonging shelf life.
