Quite a few laptops try and include a numberpad into the system but for those few who can’t incorporate it, here is an easy solution! Number Pad Film for Touchpad is this sticker and program combo that turns your regular touchpad into a makeshift number pad. Install the program and select the hotkeys and you are ready to go. I think it’s quite a clever idea, I’ll sign up for one!

If you dig into the history of Crumpler Bags, it comes as no surprise to discover that they started off as a messenger bags company! Innovations and strategic planning made them venture into laptops, backpacks and travel luggage, building up the brand to where it is now. I wish they could redo the magic of a 2006 promo where Crumpler Stores in New York were accepting ‘beer in exchange for bags!’ Say, if I were to send in Antarctic Nail Ale, will they send me the entire Dry Red Collection?

The Katra chair stands out from others not only because of its stealthy aesthetic, but because it’s inspired by the intrinsic qualities of the material from which it is made. Formed from a composite consisting primarily of ramie (a super-fibrous variety of nettle), the material offers superior strength, lightness & durability beyond that of even fiberglass. Katra’s design reflects these qualities and represents the unique creative opportunities the furniture industry is just beginning to explore with the composite.

Include Inc.’s “4Tablet” design for the Grossii brand is a simple and beautiful tool for keeping your iPad upright. Waves at the bottom of the artistic structure not only look great, but allow the user to prop the tablet at a number of angles in both landscape and portrait views, ensuring the perfect position each time. A winner of this year’s red dot: design concept award, the Adjustable Radiation Flashlight is a small, powerful, handheld task light that makes it possible to easily change the beam from concentrated spot-light to wide flood-light by use of its a flexible plastic plate which contains nearly 40 individual lights. Simply twist the tactile back cap to create whatever light is necessary.

It’s quite the trend to look for ways to extend the life of a battery, be it a AAA, AA or even the D-size. What we have here today is the ONE=TWO – Spring Battery. The design is quite self explanatory, so my question for you today is this: is it worth extracting every ounce of juice from discarded batteries in comparison to the production of such extracting devices? What do you say…..

UNStudio is at it again with this ambitious vertical city concept designed for Singapore’s cultural hub. Scotts Tower attempts to redefine the way architects approach modern high-rise residential architecture by reframing public spaces in an aesthetically provocative way. Whether or not a controversial design such a this gets a green light is another story. We can only hope so!

The Picostorm Alpha Project aims to improve the intuitiveness and easy of navigation displaying both informational & interactive data on existing large platforms like Facebook & Google. The interface is split into two core features: a super nifty “waterfall” interface on the left side that provides clearly defined shortcuts to messages, notifications and address book/contact information, and a contextually-aware floating dashboard through which a person interacts with messages, photos, videos and other content.

The TOTO Twins lamp series looks more like missing components to an alien spacecraft than a lamp! You’ll dig this lamp if you’re into futuristic style that’s even a little strange. The first of the two lamps consists of two sculptural parts and an asymmetrical “head” that rotates to create various levels of light intensity. The second lamp’s fluid, metallic top hovers above and appears to drip onto the industrial looking sculptural body below.

2011 is the year of Tiani, a super sexy pleasure toy from the house of LELO! In his interview, designer D.C. said that the biggest challenge faced while designing this luxe toy was ‘finding the exact shape that makes it pleasurable and comfortable for both partners.’ Life is challenging and the key is to treat them as lessons and overcome them with grace. So, you and the family is going on this big vacation and just as you finish locking up everything and shut the main door, your wife calls out – hon, did you check the gas and switch-off all the lights? Sounds familiar? How about if you had the ‘Off’ installed! It is a door handle with connections to your mains like gas supply and electricity. Simply switch off both or either one of the services by rotating the dial and flip it back to activate it all. Super cool and innovative I tell ya!
