Roll and Mix

Roll and Mix

I’m by no means a chef but that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate tools of the trade, especially when they’re as elegant and functional as the Roll & Mix. The three-in-one design neatly combines the function of a rolling pin and a mortar and pestle with an internal oil bottle, minimizing the clutter and making the preparation process for homemade dough simpler.

Sun-kissed Ready Notebook!

Sun-kissed Ready Notebook!

I am going to ignore the fact that this sexy looking, clear polycarbonate laptop is inspired by light. I am also going to forget that it features a transparent touch-keyboard. I’m only fixated on the Double Solar Panels (one on top and the other under the keypad) and the possibility of having a laptop that needs NO WIRES! Yes, even for charging it! Someone, anyone Fujitsu…please make the Luce!

Enlightened Door

Enlightened Door

The very stylish ORB Door Handle can be used in diverse scenarios thanks to the integrated LED light ring. For a bathroom door handle, a lit-up ring can indicate the room is busy. For a hotel room door it can signify DND and for the children’s room it can be the nightlight!

Emotions of My Cycle

Emotions of My Cycle

Like it or not, social networking and emotional status updates have become an integral part of our cyber life. We keep looking for new avenues to express our “emoticons” in the real-world and the Bike Light is one such way. Milled out from one solid piece of aluminum, it encloses an 8×8 LED dot matrix light setup. You can download personalized graphics, animations or phrases to use as the rear light. Why? So that you can let strangers on the road know that you are sad, happy or flirty!

Sea Coral Inspired Seating

Sea Coral Inspired Seating

The sea coral inspired structure of the Contour chair is formed by applying Designtex Fusion, a co-polyester resin panel with limitless combinations of colors & textures, to a CNC milling machine where the solid surface is cut into individual pieces which are then heated, bent to specification, & bound together with screws. The unique CNC cutting system also creates a coral-like pattern in the remaining resin skeleton, avoiding wasted scraps & leaving behind a wall ornament that parallels the motif of the chair.

Analogital Clock?

Analogital Clock?

I’m loving this chic, ultramodern wall clock by Raunak Narang!! Clock-o’s simple yet striking design reads like a continuous analog clock but actually processes time digitally. Its minimal LED digital display and seamless ring shape are, on one hand, breaking the stream of time, and on the other, reminding us of its continuity.

Fiber-optic Lighting Done Right

Fiber-optic Lighting Done Right

When I hear “fiber-optic light” I always cringe & think of those shabby, hair-like, rainbow lamps. Yuck. The Boogie Chandelier #2 is what I wish my first impression would have been. It uses off-the-shelf products like florescent tubes & puck lights in combination with fiber-optic cables to transform single strands of light into a sculptural, eye-catching pendant. The vibrant strands create sophisticated curves & shapes that will stand out as the centerpiece of any room, day or night (without the cheese-factor).
