VANDEYK Contemporary Cycles is a collaboration of renowned creative professionals dedicated to a simple mission; designing and building the most ravishingly beautiful bicycles – and not compromising along the way. The result? A perfectly handcrafted and strictly limited objects of art – 25 bicycles per collection worldwide. The first collection: “Nightstream”.
The team behind VANDEYK is a handpicked brigade of experienced experts in fields as diverse as design, handmade bicycle frame building, photography and writing – a crew of likeminded bel-esprits which all have a proven track record working for major international brands. Along with creative and design excellence, the bicycles are devotedly handbuilt by one of the best European framebuilders, who has also been Senior engineer at SRAM, developing major parts of the shifting system in the Tour de France, finishing 1st and 2nd in 2010.

Interesting definition of no compromises that includes rim-brakes. Obviously they feel those fancy-shmancy disc-brakes are just a fad. And suspension? Feh!
There's a lot more radical simplicity and beauty in the average fixed gear bike than in this.

I don't find this bike beautiful althought the sceneries behind yes!. Does that mean I don't know contemporary design? O.o

hmm id have to agree with the abovfe … that bike may be designed by renowend designers but even they can have an off day… on disc brakes ? and outside gears.. if they wanted to make it simple and top noch do internal gears and disc brakes….. not to speak og the colours…….

bikes have many purposes other than to look 'cool' the functionality of the gear mech and knobly tread is a thing of beauty. same goes for the hand built frame. nice job, i want one!

Looks very fashionable to me. I like how they wound those rainbow stripes all over the frame. Would very much like to test-drive one.

The seat post is not adjustable in height, so they custom weld a frame for you to fit your posture? And what if you find it is just a bit to high/low to be comfortable. you break out the angle grinder/welding machine to modify it?
But at least it does have a carbon-look seat to give your nuts the support they need.

Some comments are very funny… just have a look on actual bikes production and you'll see that some bike have no suspension fork, still VBrake or a non adjustable seat post… did you know wooden frames? It does exist!
