It’s completely brilliant! Can you take this idea apart? This is a portable spring driven power generator design concept by designer Satoshi Yanagisawa, one that says you’ll be able to recharge your daily portable gadgets anytime anywhere without further negative impact to the environment. Sounds alright! The name of this project is “Cyclus,” and it’s a spring driven personal electricity generator. A hand held device that, when its bottom is twisted, provides 30 minutes of energy via the inner located spring via “rotation energy.”

Behold one wild bit of smoke and mirrors – in a good way! This is The Dome, an all-in-one stereo system that both plays audio CDs and can load music from musical devices such as the iPod. From a distance, this stereo appears to be a giant black disk. Once you approach it, the controls, the iPod, or the disks become visible for you to access and change as you wish. Such subtlety is magic.

This is GitFit, a conceptual set of weights and an iOS app that makes connecting with your other fit friends as simple as changing the music track on your iPhone or iPod Touch. The weights you’ll be using are 8 oz each and have built-in heart rate monitors and a Bluetooth transmitter so that you can work with the app wirelessly. Fun!
