Tea to Perfection

There are few people on this planet who really know what a perfect cup of tea tastes like. I imagine I’m one of them, after reading the process this designer explains in telling us about this new project by the name of “The Perfect Cup.” The designer, Callum Kenny, informs us that 64 million cups of tea are enjoyed every 24 hours. Of those masses of cups, how many have taken time and care enough to create the perfect cup? Not many, I bet.

Magic Carp-pet

I love carp and optical illusions – just a little tidbit about yours truly. The Magic Carp-pet (ha!) is a rug when viewed through a specially designed glass coffee table displays carp majestically swimming across. The technical fx uses the moire phenomenon really effectively. The graphic apparition would fit beautifully in minimalist decor, front and center as it should. Seriously John Leung, can I have one? Speaking of fish, my telescope goldfish once leapt to his death but I never found the body. I blame the dog.

My alter ego lives in the spotlight. He absolutely craves it. In fact if he had his own place, he’d probably buy something like the TOP SPOT designed by Cristiano of Note Design Studio for RYDENS Lighting. It’s clean, ultra modern and each light pivots to put the shine just in the right place. My alter ego is an aesthetic statement so my lights need to illuminate that lifestyle.

The Haptic Braille is a mouse-like device that’s capable of translating ordinary text into braille on its surface. This means that the blind can read virtually anything the sighted can. The technology uses optical character recognition. Simply skim it over any text and wait for the haptic feedback. I like how you can pocket and carry it over to the library.
