Nuke on Wheels
Inspired by the $50,000 hand-made vehicles by the name of Ariel Atom, this fabulous automotive goes by the name “A REAL ATOM” and is designed by Imran Othman. This project is of course a concept, and is on the whole an aesthetic exercise. On the other hand, it’s got a lofty goal in mind: to be the world’s first nuclear powered car. I think you’ll see how clear even these renderings make that goal, right in front of your eyes in bright red.
Would you drive this fantastical vehicle? Do tell.

I love the front, it's MEAN!

This is not the first concept of a car run by atomic energy. Check out the Ford Nucleon. It was a concept run by ford in the 50's to use atomic energy in a car. However, this concept in impossible. Currently, our technology is not advanced enough to harness the highly unstable atom. Further, the driver could not be adequately protected from the radiation and would die. Plus the concept is kinda ugly looking.

I defer to Eli G. as he is stating that our technology is not that advanced, I want you to know we have submarines and airplanes running on atomic energy. And about the car is not a great idea, imagine this car crashing at high speeds, the whole highways are gonna be filled with nuclear waste…

when look closer to the design..there are alot of hidden innovations in the detail of the design
sadly, it was overshadowed by the controversy of the 'nuke' engine
