No More Smokin Globes
This project is all about quitting smoking. I suppose it doesn’t just have to be tobacco, but that’s the most dangerous LEGAL drug in smoke form out there, so that’s what we’ll focus on. When there is smoke in a room, this Glow Globe lights up. When the smoke is gone, you click the reset button and the light goes dim once again. When there is smoke for an extended period in a room, the light stays on and changes colors. Quite simple.
This Glow Globe might be the little nanny you need to stop you from puffing away, polluting your world. Perchance?

Okay, it lights up when you light up a cigarette, but just a thought: people KNOW when they're smoking. A light-up globe isn't going to let them know any more than what is already obvious. I really don't see the point of this one.

huh? i cannot see any purpose to this.

pointless.. absolutely pointless. i can maybe see a point if it was to dim down when the smoke has dispensed to a "safe" level, but as comment above states. people know when other are smoking, they dont need a light to tell them

I have to agree that these aren't that much use, but still, as a novelty ornament I quite like them. It would be nice to see how much they light up though, do they give off enough light to illuminate a dark bookcase for example?

I think the fact that it lights up is pretty cool. As a smoker, I would smoke around it all the time to have a cool light up decoration in the room… The complete opposite of its purpose

This is both idiotic and extremely amateurish rendering. Make it scream at 120dB and it might stop people, but probably they'll just go outside.

it does not actually encourage smokers to quit smoking. this product is just a smoke detector
