Color Index Your Cuts
How many chops do you make in a day? Lots and lots? How many different chops of meat or vegetables or oddities to you make a day? About a billion? Well check this thing out – it’ll keep you organized. It’s the “Index Chopping Board” from Joseph Joesph. It’s not just one board, nay! It’s several. Each board is placed in the holding tray with its own tab sticking up making it simple for you to take the one you need for the item you need to cleave! Available in knives or non-knives!
There’s the “Index Chopping Board” which is the model with just the boards, then there’s the “Index Plus Chopping Board” which includes a knife each per board. Color coded, too!
Designer: Damian Evans for Joseph Joesph [Buy Them Here, Index Chopping Board and Chopping Board Plus are available for $65.00 and $80.00 @ YD Store]

Some would argue that not all bacteria is killed when washed cause it's trapped in the material, hence the separate boards. I have already seen this same idea being sold at Target in the US, though. But this one does look nice.

You need to clean it anyway before you put it back, so just clean it before you put fish, vegetables or meat on it. It looks nice, but is a solution for a non-existing problem.

Houghi,
Please go to any professional kitchen and ask the chef to prepare vegetables, meat, fish and cooked foods on a single chopping board at the same time; I think you'll receive the same short response from all of them.
I have seen this Joseph Joseph product available in major stores for over 2 years now so they must be doing something right!

Hi There. I am the designer of the Index Boards. The whole principle of the boards was to package the long used colour coded system used in professional kitchens into an attractive and compact domestic product. A great deal of thought went into the design. Each board is seperated so that they can dry easily and the base of the box is open so that it can be easily cleaned. The icons were slightly raised so that they also allowed the user to grip them easily to lift the board out of the box.
