T-Shirt Pocket Does More Than You Think

T-Shirt Pocket Does More Than You Think

Looks like an ordinary t-shirt but look closer and you’ll see a peculiar zip front and seam in the bottom left. That friends is the novel and innovative pocket the shirt folds into for travel and when not in use, and it’s called the Pockit. The company was started by Christian Karlsson and Frankie Chan and presents a new way to produce and ship a t-shirt. No packaging required because it is its own packaging. Clever boys! I want one.

Needlepoint Woes Resolved

Needlepoint Woes Resolved

An encore to the Big Eye Needle is this neat idea called the Easy Needle. Unlike the Big Eye, which had an expanding loop eye, the Easy Needle has a minor slit in the eye to allow the thread to slide in comfortably. I know many use magnifying glasses to thread the needle, but if  Easy Needle doesn’t interfere with the quality of my stitch, I’d be willing to give it a try.

How Practical Can The iPad Get, iBookends?

Did you have a life before the iPad? Did you even read books or see any movies before this Steve God Jobs-sent device came around? I know, life was so lame without this magic device, and I really wonder how you could keep your books lined up on the shelf before support came around in the form of iBookends. Designer Dominic Wilcox has his own take on the scene, hit the jump to know more!

Grow Ye a Sculpture

Grow Ye a Sculpture

If there’s one thing I love, it’s sculptures that grow. Grow and grow and grow until they break out of whatever they were in and become a monster that destroys the entire Earth! Oh my goodness watch out world, “Terraform Stulpture” by Robert Cannon is just the kind of sculpture to do such a thing as that! Plants and rocks, rocks and plants! Actually moss. Moss seats, moss circles, and moss towers!

My Back Not Flat

My Back Not Flat

What you’re about to see here is a bunch of perfection in triangular and wave-tastic dimensions. It’s the clarity that makes this particular set of three seats the greatness it is. The name of this project is “Skeie| | Wave” because Skeiel AS is the name of the group that designed it, and WAVE is what’s going on in the back of the seat. Made for locations that tend to the education and entertainment departments of the world; these seats, since there’s not too much to them, must be like I said: perfect.

Moon Phase Watch Extravaganza!

Moon Phase Watch Extravaganza!

Usually, when there’s an extravaganza, there’s a whole bucket full of them. But not this time! But why?! I’ll tell you why. It’s because we only need one, yes, ONE of them. This is the one right here. It’s called the “Moon Watch” and it’s made by those fabulous folks over at The Emotion Lab. Not only does this one tell you the phases of the moon as they happen, this one tells you the 24 hours in the day as well.

No More Hot Hands

No More Hot Hands

I love my hot tea but it’s always a balancing act to keep the cup from scalding my hands. And what about the tea bag? Some way or another, the tail end drops into the water and becomes a game to see how fast I can fish it out. The Double Wall Tea Cup eases my woes. It keeps heat away from my hands without the need of a handle and has a little notch at the base to keep my tea bag tag from getting away. Brills!

Spooning The Yogurt

Spooning The Yogurt

Most often yogurt cups come with extra plastic spoons, which for the moment may seem handy, but are they really? Aww come on; get your eco-green-caps on! We need to re-think, for that matter Cho Hye-seung has already done that bit, and come up with the Yogurt Spoon Package Design. The top seal of the cup comes off and can be folded into the shape of a functional spoon. Now be honest, how many of you actually lick the yogurt stuck to the seal paper…isn’t this a more legit way of doing that?

Flip Flop Mouse

Flip Flop Mouse

The Toe Mouse is especially designed for those who have upper limbs disability and cannot use their hands to move the mouse. This ergonomically designed gadget uses our natural ability to grip between the toes, for manipulating the Mouse. You need to slip it on, between the big toe and second, just as you would wear your flipflops. The sensor below the big toe acts as the left click button and the one below the second toe is the right click.

Mesmerizing Circles

Mesmerizing Circles

Truly the hands of the hourglass do turn according to their own will. Or is the will of grandfather time? It doesn’t matter! Shall I tell you why? I will! It’s because this clock has no hands! Like the rest of the watches in the family of this design group, these timekeepers have no hands at all! Designers at EleeNo have no mercy when it comes to watch display innovation, none at all! That’s why this particular watch is the most mesmerizing yet! Circle time!

Now Cube This

Now Cube This

Hello to you all fans of the epic proportions of the cube. Actually they’re quite regular, aren’t they? Yes. Well, this isn’t. This is totally squaretastic, yet it’s definitely irregular. All sorts of combinations of square stackables put together to make one tower for all! A lamp by the name of “Rubic!” I wonder if you can peg the source of the name on the donkey. I’ll give you a hint – it’s got nothing to with A Clockwork Orange.

Not QBert, It's Qbiosk!

Not QBert, It’s Qbiosk!

It DOES have a cube in it though, but I must warn you, it doesn’t play music… or does it? Instead this just one fabulously idyllic sexy lovely mid-sized table. Did I mention it’s shiny? It looks rather vintage, sort of swanky, but this little baby has a secret: the ability to be equipped with a touchscreen computer on the surface, offering video and audio output. Fifteen or 17″ screen and built-in USB reader may come standard. It’s the Qbiosk coffee bedside table!

Runner's Knees Be Gone, Opedix Tights Review

Runner’s Knees Be Gone, Opedix Tights Review

As part of my ongoing research to “Be a 10 in 2010″, I reached out to a company called Opedix who makes a line of support clothing designed for active and athletic people. Their ethos is interesting; clothes that provide proper support and alignment without sacrificing mobility. I got my hands on their Knee Support System (tights) which have been clinically proven to reduce wear and tear on the knees. As someone who has suffered from runner’s knee, I needed to try it. Hit the jump for my review.
