Friday Giveaway: 2 Hug Salt & Pepper Shakers & 2 Ribbon Bottle Openers For Those Who Lead a Spicy Life!
I want to spice things up a bit today…For today’s give away: the Hug Salt & Pepper Shakers + Ribbon Bottle Openers combo pack, you’ve got to tell me the one spicy dish you enjoy and what bottle would you open to cool down your fiery palate! Two witty folks can next time spice up their dishes using the Hug Salt & Pepper Shakers and clink open Coke bottles with the Ribbon Bottle Opener! How tasty would that be!Â
Contest Ends: Sunday April 25th, 11:59 pm PST.

The Hug Salt & Pepper Shakers designed by Alberto Mantilla are two sentimental Salt & Pepper shakers locked in embrace to connote love and affection.

The Ribbon Bottle Opener by Scott Henderson is a polished stainless-steel bottle opener formed from a continuous ribbon-like loop, so it’s the exact same on either side.

Well, my fav. spiced dish would be Pesto Pasta. Not much to it in fact, just some minced meat, some pasta and some pesto… Cool it off with a nice red wine (preferrably Hanerood) and you have a great meal.

My favorite spiced dish is tandoori chicken. It’s probably the spiciest I’ll go, and I order it mild. To cool it down, I order a nice sweet lassi…gotta have the dairy to really soothe the mouth.

My favourite spiced meal is a Thai duck & pineapple curry. It’d be washed down with the local classic Thai beer, Chang. Yum yum.

Two italian’s must:
Cacio e Pepe. The easyest pasta to cook, simply pasta (not overcooked!), roman cheese and black pepper, pepper, pepper!
We should drink wine on ‘cacio e pepe’, but how to open wine with the ribbon!? So… let’s open a bottle of ‘Chinotto’ a very bitter drink made with a strange and rare citrus fruit. The best one? Chinotto Neri of course!
Nat says
My favorite spiced meal is Kung Pao chicken. This is what it looks like: http://bit.ly/aKZXIs
Cool it off with some Tsingtao Beer of course!

Since we are following a theme here, I thought I would do the same.
I would do a dish of black and white, a cuban rice with slow roasted chili pork and black beans. A smooth and spicy food at the same time, kind of like Jing and Jang. To that I would open a Rogue Dead Guy Ale. Perfect to spicy food and pork. Also perfect for a hot spring day!

My favorite food in this world is spicy Yebeg tibs (which is an Ethiopian dish which is made with cubes of lamb rubbed with all kinds of spices and herbed butter and is given the extra umph with special chili powder called berbere) which of is eaten with the teff grain based injera. And I would have to have it with some orange fanta on the side, from a glass bottle of course (because soda always tastes better from a glass bottle, i don’t know why). Mmmmm. Now I’m salivating…

A recent favorite spicy dish is what I call “Mexican quiche”: in addition to the standard eggs and milk, I added black beans, corn, red and green bell peppers, tomatoes, onions, and chili peppers. Some favorite spice mix from my local BBQ joint (“Cajun Foreplay” from Dinosaur BBQ) added a little more spice. Excellent with some mango pineapple juice!
Bj says
The cute little salt and pepper shakers would spice up my favorite summer time lunch of sliced tomato sandwich – using tomatoes right off the vine. Pairs nicely will a bottle of fizzy water.

I’m from Brazil, and here we have this dish called Acarajé. It’s made of white beans in a “breadish” shape, deep fried and than filled with differente types of sauces and shrimps.
The thing is, when it’s ready to be served the waitress will ask you if want it “hot” or “cold”. Let’s just say that if you don’t like pepper you should go “cold”.
Anyway, it’s the best spiced dish in Brazil!

I love spicy food. Laksa and Tom Yum are some of the foods that I can think of now, and I made the mistake once of downing Coke after eating. Burned my tongue and I nearly choked. I stuck with water after that or a nice cool grass jelly drink.
