Classy Water Stopper
When I first spied the WaterStoppingWater, it felt like déjà vu, simply because it has this uncanny resemblance to the DROPPA carafe by Ozgur Onal. Now I’m not going to get in to the bickering of who inspires who; the bottom line is that WaterStoppingWater has a very fluid design and represents a sink stopper in a very chic way.

hmmmmm…. I bought a plug that is almost exactly the same, the only difference is that instead of the water drop as a handle there is a tiny hand reaching out as if a tiny little person is being washed down the drain. I thought it was hilarious, and it was available in fun colors too (I chose neon pink for my otherwise all black/white bathroom). I bought that one in a design store in Shanghai, in either 2006 or 2007, don’t remember which year it was. I wonder who came up with this first?
The plug works like a charm, I used to have one of those “click-up, click-down” plugs, it cost me a fortune and it always got stuck till it eventually broke.

I think this one is more elegant, and different enough to be unique.
I was designing a fruit bowl in a very simmilar pattern till I found that something almost identical was being made allready.

Very pretty and elegant, but totally impractical … unless you've got a large enough sink/basin to avoid knocking it accidentally.
