I like the idea, as it would really help with portion control. We all know the US has issues with eating too much, and this could be a great starting point at controlling rations.

Again, please stop with plastic for kitchen products. Glass is a much better choice for food as it is inert and it retains its beauty. Check out the Le Parfait French Glass Canning Jar series at Amazon.com among other stores. I’ve been using the same ones for over twenty years and they still look brand new. They come in several sizes and are stackable. Granted they do not have a dispenser but they are stackable, come in different sizes so you can maximize space, won’t affect your food, and have the wonderful clarity that glass offers over plastic. Also they are extremely durable as I have never had one break even when dropped.

The concept is neat and innovative. What makes it so cool is the overall functionality, the look and the simplicity involved. The filled containers just makes it look so much more cooler.

yes but remenber in the same amount of space you get far more rice than pasta, because pasta has those empty spaces that you cannot fill

with this in mind you get less pasta (or loads more of rice)

maybe that can be solved not with the spins but rather with the ruler that runs along the product

if the ruler has some standard measurments (like litres, grams in sugar, grams in flower, grams in pasta)maybe that would help
