A New Look At The Carafe

Venice is host to some of the most spectacular glass factories in the world. A place where exquisite mouth-blown pieces are created every single day. I found new respect for this industry when I visited one such factory and saw how they artistically breathe life and form into a blob of molten glass. Featured here is the Barbara Carafe Vase, a beautiful mouth-blown piece with modern sensibilities. A colored crystal ball doubles as a seal and a tactile magic ball to the carafe.

The crystal ball deliberately features a cut (grind-ed) surface, which stops it from rolling-off. If you choose to use this piece as a vase, then place the crystal ball under the carafe in its little cubby – just a nice splash of color.

This is brilliant. I love flowers in vases and water in carafes, and the bit of color added just makes it even better. Great functional yet stylish design.

Sometimes, when you really carefully through this site, you stumble upon something that is worth the space on the internet. This is really one of them, what a lovely design! on top of that the price makes it a must buy.

what happens if you knock it onto it’s side, does the ball pop off then?

I’d be less worried about the ball popping off and more about the carafe getting damaged… besides the way it’s shaped makes it harder to get knocked over.

I ordered one jst before the holidays and it came in a hundred pieces. It broke during the shipping (my guess) and i have yet received another one. i have tried to “contact store” and still nothing. I tried trough “returns” still nothing. I paid for the item, the shipping and all i have to show for it is the stopper, (the only thing that wasn’t in a hundred pieces) can someone please help me out with this issue?
