Magnetic Attraction
Aufhanger is the re-design of an ordinary hanger sans hooks. It uses magnets within its body to latch onto the steel rod of the wardrobe. The body of the hanger could be of cast aluminum, but wood or plastic can also be used. Magnets like Neodymium N42 or N50 can also be used for their strength and stability. A hook-less hanger not only looks classy but is quite functional as well. BTW, the magnet part is nestled on the top rim.
I would like to leave you with this wonderful line by the designer: ‘the hook over the hook below the hook pulling out the hook… and i just wanted to take a look…’

Perhaps a simpler design would have been to to reduce the pitch of the hanger and have the magnet in the centre so that you could flip it one way for a shirt and the other way for a skirt?
Would cut the production costs by eliminating one set of tooling and be simpler for the consumer.

the reason why it has the ‘neck’ part in the end is because if you put a shirt with a collar on you would loos the hanger inside thus making it more difficult to normaly attach it to the rod… and you would get a squashed collar. and i think the half-radius gives it a bit more stability since it embraces more rod surface. best m.
