Designer Daniel Kurth, however, believes he&#8217;s got a new spin on the idea: He believes that clocks have to come to be a force of negativity, because we&#8217;re constantly reminded of time. The Nixie Concrete Clock, with it&#8217;s unconventional tube arrangement (the time above is 10:23 and 54 seconds), may not immediately register as a time-telling device, delaying that feeling of pressure that a conventional clock brings. The Nixie Concrete Clock, assembled by hand, is a working prototype, and Kurth is looking into production possibilities.
