I think it is a great idea. Now if they would just go to a little effort to make the bottles themselves attractive with a nice looking picture, I wouldn’t mind having these plants all over my house.

just looked at the design. when the plant grows here it will one day need re potting when it out grows this initial pot. due to the shape of the bottle, it will be difficult to remove the plant once the root structure has become established. a bit like getting the draft angles wrong on an injection moulding..

a better idea is not to use plastic. this water bottle then plant pot will one day end up in the landfill. all you are doing here is adding another function before it goes to the landfill. ultimately this is another plastic product that is destined for the ground.
