I totally agree with Long Tran when he says that we need to creatively organize our mess. There’s really nothing artistic about clothes strewn all over your house. So, if you’re figuring out a way to manage clothes in a cool stylish way, then the Arrow Hanger is the answer for you. The shaft of the arrow slings out when you want to hang many clothes from hangers, but if it’s just a hat or a coat, you can leave the shaft up. Besides the functional aspect, me thinks it’s smart enough to be up on any wall!

Biggest Hugest Tricycle

The biggest hugest tricycle in the whole world has been conceptualized by designer Randall Marin. It is a bit different from what you might think of as a tricycle; that being either the tiny red tricycle for children or the giant tri-motorcycle you see in parades most often. This is made for urban transport and exercise – with it’s main aim being gaining attention, motivating others to get exercise too.

Boomerang Addicts Can Now Charge Batteries

I find this concept cute and odd – that would mean oddly cute. The Boo is a battery charging boomerang. It holds 3 AAA batteries and just by playing with it, the device converts rotary motion into energy. The surface is covered in silicon to protect the precious innards from impact. In the center is a dynamically changing icon that indicates charge levels. Simple idea right? Would you buy one?

The Equilibrium (EQ) car uses artificial intelligence to engage us by generating the illusion of life and individual personality. Tho the cars are mass produced, no two are alike.

And that’s exactly what we’re going to do with designer Aaron Root’s singular knifes concept! You say you only want a few of those knives out of that giant block they sell? How about buying one knife at a time in its own block, each block connectable to the next? Neat!

Getting Lost Is Not So Trendy

Maptor is this wonderful combination of a map and projector that (predictably) projects the desired map onto any surface. Palm of the hand, floor, and walls included. What I really fancy about it, is its size. Small enough to pass off as a lipstick (or a chapstick for you guys), the device is discreet enough for you to quickly hop into a quiet corner, check for directions and make your way forth. All this without anyone knowing that you are lost or need help!

Show-off The Strip

Managing power-cords is more of a hassle for folks with kids and those who like the wire-free look. Just how to manage those damn wires? With the elegant Power Bridge, of course! It eliminates the need to hide wires in order to make the room look neat or safe. This sturdy strip has the plug-slots beneath the bridge for better plug management. An indicative light on each plug outlet also displays the amount of power being used by that particular device, making you aware of the energy consumption. A refreshing approach for the wires-issue.

I’m sure all of you know plugged-in appliances slowly run up your electric bill. The annoyance of having to unplug/plug devices is enough to just ignore the whole problem altogether. The Belkin TimeOutlet concept is a modular, stackable surge protector divided into 4 quadrants. Each section corresponds to a time of day. When that time is over, power is cut from everything in that quadrant and power turns on in the next.

Firefighter’s Best Friend

Last year we had some of the most terrible forest fires and the number is rising. The aftermath is undeniable. The quicker you contain them, the more likely you’ll win the battle. The Autonomous Fire Guard concept explores robotic applications to overcome the shortcomings of real people. The bot is equipped with laser scanners, IR cameras and radar to cut thru the smoke. They’re meant to operate in the last phase of a fire fight called mop ups. It’s unsafe for humans to tread the scorched earth, not knowing if the brush underneath is still kindling.

This Tree Is Artificial Green

A tree that limits itself to only the air cleansing function. Oh yeh, it’s prepped up with some LED lights to create a warm ambience, and a seating ring at the base, to rest your tired feet. The over-all vibe is of a tree alrite, and here is how it works. The tree has an electronic fan (in the base) that sucks in ambient air and pumps it through the HEPA filters to remove all impurities. The refreshed air, then blows out from the top of the structure. I can see this as a helpful prop in malls where I can rest after a serious session of retail therapy.
