It WOULD be wonderful to just sit back, relax, enjoy the idea and give it proper critique, wouldn’t it? I mean… No one knows if it’ll be feasible, if anyone’ll get sued, if the world ends in 2012 or if the Queen of England is, in fact, an alien (although it’d be pretty damn precious if she was).

As for the actual critique… I like the general idea, although the weather effects may interfere with the reading and such. Maybe they could be more subtle or just localized?

Anon, perhaps you can tell me then how this transparent keyboard in the following link works? We all know keyboards have electronic innards, where did they go?

If you payed attention, a few of us stated that you would need a small frame around the screen to hide some of the components that would not be transparent. The screen itself is possible today, just not at anywhere near the resolution shown.

….Anyone who thinks this actually works is…. n00bish. It’s glass, so think about it. Easy to break, hazardous, waste of money, THERE’S NO FUCKING CIRCUIT BOARDS OR CHIPS OR ANY OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICE TO MAKE THE THING FUNCTION! Get some common sense. If it was glass, you’d be able to see the electronic innards. No chips = no worky. Sorry dumb-asses.

As far as invisability goes, we have had many technologies that achieve this for years. Liquid electronics uses fluids (like water which is clear)to form circuits, encased in glass/plexi would make it see through. We’ve had liquid crystal screens that make numbers appear out of no where. And touchscreens are just a transparent film over glass. And if you’ve ever cracked open a battery, you know that the liquid acid inside is clear. So this phone is completely possible today, if you include a small frame around the outside edge, that incases the microphone and speaker, maybe a power jack. Although the screen resolution I’m not sure would be anywhere near what the concept shows.

Is this a real phone or an idea? I really need it either way…
