There is no provision for protection from heat, cold or inclement weather, and there is no way to clean the window while moving. It is more like a prop from Logan's Run than something that someone would voluntarily get into.
There is also no room to carry anything more than the passenger himself. No room for a gym bag, a briefcase or groceries. The thing is nothing more than a transparent coffin.

Everyone of these travel pod concepts seems to be designed to be used only indoors. I am completly aware of the problems. And there are a lot of them. But on the railways in switzerland there is actually up to 5 miles space between two trains. And when you take a look at the crowded highways, it seems like a waste of space. So i came up with this idea. And I know it is totally utopian. But in my opinion it would still be fun...
And about the name. Its actually paracité not paracite. Paracite because it runs on a existing infrastructure. Para cité (between cities) because it is a commuter vehicle...
And btw, I think the locomotive would win.

You are completly right about these points. But this was only a concept. I am completly aware of the problems. And who's the marketing idiot naming the thing? Parasite? Like the Volkswagon Piss-Ant? Or south of the border, the Chevy No-Va? Why not rename the Citron the Lemon? Why not name a car "The All New 2010 Klunker!" (with an umlaut over the U).
Ask your doctor if Prius is right for you.

5 miles between trains? Hello! Commuter train wrecks in California and New York within the last 2 or 3 months!
