You must accommodate the users needs too. Everything that has been said here is true. If you suffer from these problems you would not want to attract attention by standing out like a sore thumb. This happens time and time again where a designer thinks they have a winner purely by solving the problem. (To Designer) If you still believe in this solution, take it to the next level and style something that is sympathetic to the user and show again.
