Schneider Cup Dreams
Daniel Simon has quickly become a household name in industrial design circles as a result of his Cosmic Motors series. It’s inevitable then that designers would begin popping up with concepts that take obvious inspiration from his work.
The Schneider Seaplane is a concept created by a mysterious French designer Vincent Montreuil over a period of 2 short weeks. Those of you who are keen on aviation will remember that the Schneider Cup was a real life event that was held for a brief period between the 2 world wars, where dare devil pilots would pit their skills and machines against each other for eternal glory and a bit of silverware.
the Lockheed XFR-S is the result of the following simple brief. “Create a new seaplane for the Schneider Cup Trophy”.
