Power Point Prepped
Quick Question: If you want to redesign an electric socket, what will you do? If you’re gonna suggest demure LED lights on the rim, a base socket in a funky shape, a hip extension hub with retractable wire that allows you to hook up 3 more portals to it; then Don’t, Serdar Sişman has perfected this plot already! Basically he’s suggesting a main socket to plug into, which in turn hooks up this neat wired extension hub, which in turn hooks up 3 more sockets. Cool!
BTW the lights on the rim act as a reminder to switch-off the mains when not in use.

There’s a rather disconcerting number of bare terminals sticking out of that thing.

This thing looks like a mess… In so many ways. YD, take off your Alias Goggles© for once.

makes it feel safe when it could be a danger

Could be a danger? This thing is lethal! What the hell people? Its not safe at all, say your kid puts their hand in the cavity and bridges the two EXPOSED terminals?- They would get a nice dose of 240 volts. Most likely killing them.
Its fine to design a new power socket, but the designer fails to see why sockets are the way they are. To stop people killing themselves!! Safety is paramount when dealing with electricity. This is irresponsible design.

and maybe some people should just have a look outside the country or so and realize that this is just the normal European power socket and that the EXPOSED TERMINALS are nothing more than the harmless grounding.
in terms of design and aesthetics, well…

another great design!
WOW i envy what you can do.
Where do you find your inspiration ?
Plug & socket designer says
Totally stupid design, typically a bad student works: no analyse of the existing design, no sense of symbols, no technical knowledge… Please go back to your desk and think before switching on your computer. Nice pictures doesn’t mask bad design. Courage

I can’t believe all the comments about the “dangerous terminals”… Like LeonW said, it’s a European outlet! General knowledge people.
Plug & socket designer says
Sorry TLQ, as one of the specialist of the European standard socket , I have recognized the socket !!!
but it is not the problem, the real problem is the small connector invented below !
Henrique Staino says
The plug man is right. The problem is the connector that looks like two concentric rings. It’s shown in the first pic.

dont you guys need extension cords? the present ones are dull and lack any taste. these can complement your interior design, of course if you are into modern interior house design. i would love to have one of these which will reduce the ugly cord mess.
