If youre gonna use a living thing in your concept, maybe you should research the anatomy & biology of that living thing. Even if it were a cut piece of bamboo(dead) eventually it would deteriorate even faster than normal because of the vibrations. Aestheticly, it looks great but the practicality of green product use, an epic FAIL.
The bamboo would have to be faux. Made of materials that are used to make the tubes that Bose use. The sound chambers would have to be exact specs for sound quality. Paint it to look like bamboo & voila, a nice hidden speaker. Maybe he should submit the concept to bose. He might get lucky & score a sale of the conept. Would make a fine accessory to a living area. I'd surely be interested in it if Bose put it on the market, the Faux Bamboo speakers that is, not the live plant idea.

Complete fail on every aspect. To cut:
Just cut around the bamboo once and then from the top to the bottom.
That's it :-)

As Staffchild101 said, bamboo is very fast growing. Therefore I’d add a metal tube (to protect the cables) attached to the loudspeaker and put the cable through it.<br
